Stayed here for one night in September. Room was fine but not excellent considering the price. Had dinner in La Taverna ( cheaper option). Probably the worst meal I have ever had out. Plain , bland - something I could have cooked myself in 10 mins. When I complained it was completely ignored and brused off with that this is the food of southern Italy that they opt to serve in the restaurant.

Spa was Ok but again over rated relative to the price. Their spa treatments are on average 30 to 50% more expensive than the average.

The McCreddin village is very gimmicky with none of the shops open when we where there. If you don't play golf there is very little to do there with the atmosphere in the evening being very quiet - the lounge area is boring and uncomfortable.
Its the type of place that suits somone with money to give away who wants to go to the middle of nowhere. Its try to be something its not e.g. a Ballymaloe or a Mount Julliet but fails badly. Very poor value for money.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for one night in June. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite (i think because they were aware of my job as a hotelier also). the room was unbelievable. it had two floors, electric fire, dvd and cd player for the flat screen huge tv, walk-in wardrobes, double sinks in huge bathroom. comfy bed upstairs with a tub in the room!

really enjoyed the outdoor hot jacuzzi and went for a short walk aroud the area. The location is fantastic: in the middle of nowhere- exactly what we wanted to get away.

Ony complaint is the Italian restaurant. Literally could not have been more disappointed with it. The restaurant was exrtremely dark (and not in a dim, romantic way) and service was poor. This we could have lived with but the food was awful too! we didnt complain as we didnt want to spoil our evening. Looking back I'm slightly annoyed that we paid for it now! Next time I'll try the organic restaurant!

The rest of the hotel is great though and the staff went out of there way in all departments. We had bar food / snack food the next day and it was wonderful. Overall, the hoel is a bit pricy or my liking but seeing as the service and room matched it i didnt feel compromised by the money. Will definitely be back!

Stayed here for one night attending an event with some friends. Arrival was painless and friendly. Checked in ealry after a lovely lunch in bar area. Food was excellent.

Service overall attentive and very friendly.

Had dinner in the Strawberry Room restaurant (actaully an annex room, as we were in a large party.) The food was really outstanding. Interesting menu, highest quality produce, great presentation, execllent service, wonderful taste.

breakfast next morning was equally good. As you might know, this place prides itself on wild and organic produce and the end result is superb, while not cheap.

Just back from 2 night stay at Brooklodge. Nice setting but does not warrant a four star catagory. Its a bit worn out, sofas in lounge dirty decor jaded. Bedroom was double and single bed with oldfashioned themed furniture. Bathroom very small. Breakfast was average, but why do they not put table cloths on the tables. Reception and Management staff leave a lot to be desired as I had and incident and felt I got nowhere with them. The spa area was excellent as were the staff there. On paying my bill and asked why I did not receive the 25% discount on treatment as advertised on their website this was brushed over by the receptionist by saying oh hold on I will ring the spa and ask them. At this stage I told her not to bother just paid the bill and got out of there as fast as I could.
The cost of the two night stay B & B was costly and I dont think it was worth it.
