Just back from a lovely overnight in The Clannard Court Hotel. We arrived on Monday 13th February not expecting the hotel to be busy, it wasn't, but we were very warmly and professionally welcomed and shown to a lovely big warm room, with a large comfy bed and clean bathroom. We went down to the bar for a pre-dinner drink and were served by yet another friendly lady and on into dinner - which was lovely, beautifully presented and tasty. We chatted to the duty manager who also knew the meaning of customer service. All in all this was a lovely stay for my husbands birthday, great value for money and warm and friendly staff at every turn. Well done all at the Clannard Court Hotel. Thank you.

I stayed in the Hotel B&B and for the price I paid I really like the Hotel. Lots of parking, very clean. Big rooms. Very friendly staff. FREE WIFI!!


The buffet in the morning for very sparse. But the waitress attending got me anything I asked for. She also made me a proper Cappuccino, and was very attentive to detail. Full Irish was very nice. So no complaints about the breakfast.

I am giving it 4 stars because their affiliated gym/Pool that is on their website is the other side of the town. However I know in today's hotel environment that its not always easy to have a good gym in a Hotel if you don't have high frequent footfall. Hotel is not within walk in distance of the town. But its only 2 min drive. And as hotels go in Athy it really is the only one as the other hotel in the town is closed.

So for the night I stayed there I can't see anything negative. I marked the Fitness center as a terrible simply because there isn't one in the hotel and its not within walking distance. (not because its actually terrible its actually nice but too far)

But apart from that the hotel is very good. I would say if you are looking for a wedding venue it would be great and the staff and management seem to have the right attitude when it comes to looking after customers.

As a group of 4 girl friends we go out once a month to meet up. for a change we decided to go to a hotel and stay over. It actually worked out cheaper to stay and eat at the Clanard court hotel than if we had met at our local Chinese restaurant. They do great deals (ours was €65 per person for 4 course meal and bed and breakfast.
The food is excellent and we were treated superbly. They were very quiet at the hotel. We were given two double rooms with an adjoining door which was great for the four of us.
The breakfast was great and the next day we were given a voucher for 10% discount to spend at Kildare village.
A great recession buster night away. We will definitely be back.

A couple of weeks ago we had a party for my mother at the Clanard Court and the staff and management went way above and beyond the call of duty when it came to keeping us happy. I was very impressed with standard of food served and the level of service on offer. I would highly recommend this hotel for a party. Well Done Everyone
