Haaving stayed at this hotel last aug and really enjoyed it we decided to come again on our own without the kids.

We arrived staff were very helpful at check in and went to the room which was quite a walk as the hotel is really big. Can't complain about the room other than the fact the bed and pillow were rock hard so bring your own if your coming.. We complained the next morning and were moved to another room.

No room service at weekend. Prob as hotel isn't as busy in winter months.

We also complained about the food as it wasn't as good as the last time we stayed prob different chef. Food was cold staff offered us another meal but we declined and went to Liffey valley.

All in all stay was ok not as good as good as the first time we came. Manager dealt with our complaint well and gave us fruit in room and didn't charge us for our drinks we had with meal.

Would return again and give hotel the benefit of second change as its a really lovely hotel.

The Citywest hotel is simply enormous. I've stayed here twice on business and it's been a pleasant experience. Despite the size, the staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are large and comfortable. The decor is a bit odd in places, with unrelated themes cropping up randomly. Decent enough restaurant and bars. Plenty of space in public areas to work with fixed broadband in the rooms and free open wifi throughout the building.

Can't comment much on the leisure facilities, but the golf course looks worth a further look.

No family changing rooms .This is a big down fall for such a fine hotel .Only used the pool once because I had to bring the two girls in to the men,s changing room .The hotel was to get in touch with me but didn,t.Staff were very good and rooms were excellent.

Within two minutes of check-in, my husband and I were locked in the lift between floors. I had to use my mobile phone to phone reception to get somebody to rescue us. This didn't take long. The duty manager took my husbands Health and Safety comments and promised something would be done...... He compensated us for our ordeal but the same lift was back working later the same night with the same safety issues.
At the Gala Ball on the Friday night where tickets cost 65 euro, we were served the poorest hotel food I've been served in a long time. Another colleague attended a function here recently where the tickets cost 70 euro and the food was also abysmal.
The drinks were seriously overpriced. For such a huge hotel with fantastic capacity, it's a pity it has been neglected - it feels as if nobody cares.
The room was warm and clean but everybody felt as if they had to walk for miles to get to the rooms.....not suitable for elderly or disabled people.
