“Nice and comfy B&B in good City Area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

My Boyfriend an I spend a week in this nice B&B!
We felt very comfortable there. We had one room with a French Bed, Furniture, Tv and our own bathroom with a huge shower and a Toilet. Everything was very clean and we felt very welcomed. Our Host offerd us a perfect irish breakfast every morning and also always tried to help us out when we had any questions. The B&B is near Drumcondra Road (Drumcondra Station) where you can hop on nearly every Bus to get directly to the City Centre, although it was very quit in this area so we had absolutly no sleeping issues :)

Nearby there are couple of pubs like Fanagan's and Quinn's Pub if you feel like having a Guinness before you go night night. They also have a free WiFi!

If we ever make it to Ireland again or someone asks for a nice place: This is it!

Thank you for making our Trip so perfect!

“A great stay in the heart of Dublin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

A wonderful stay. Very comfortable. Fabulous Irish breakfasts. Margaret and John couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Only 4 rooms so any would be good.

“Great B&B in quiet neighborhood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it clean and comfortable. The owners, John and Margaret, were welcoming and helpful. The B&B is an easy bus ride from the airport- about 20 minutes. A bit of a walk (20 mins or more) to the city center, which suited us as we enjoy walking, though the bus will take you if you prefer. The upside to this is that Drumconda is a peaceful residential neighborhood which is conducive to a good nights sleep!

“Good breakfast but noisy and not clean”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

Stayed in the single room, downstairs. Was pretty noisy, could hear other guests walking by my room and talking loudly and could hear the hosts dog barking. Very annoying. Not a good nights sleep. Bed and bathroom was clean but the floor was really dirty. Lots of black hairs and dust everywhere. My room seemed to be used as storage room as the cupboard was full of toilet paper and lots of blankets.
Breakfast was good and location is Ok, would rather stay a bit closer to the centre though. Good though if you need to park your car for free.
Would not stay there again. Did not feel like a B&B, rather like a hostel.

We have Qualified as a Bed & Breakfast Not A Hostel since 1998 and Meet all the Requirments by Qualified experts. These Complaints were not brought to our attention on Departure When asked was everything ok. We do not own a dog but we did have a neighbours dog visiting that day but he did not make noise during Night at all. “Beautiful B&B in a quiet location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2011

My niece and I stayed for 4 nights in the twin room. It was impeccably clean and well appointed with comfy beds, extra pillows and blankets, tea and coffee, hair dryer, north American electrical converter, T.V., armoire, and a bright, beautiful bathroom with a fabulous power shower and good bath products. John And Margaret McGauran were wonderful hosts; very helpful with advice and directions. Good Irish breakfast with perfect scrambled eggs and flavorful meats/sausages. Location is just North of the city center (5 minute bus ride or 30 minute walk) and a short walk to the botanic gardens. Easily accessible from the airport. The cost of our stay was very reasonable, especially considering the upscale accommodations, with a discount for cash payment and another discount for our 4 night stay. We would definitely return.
