We were driving from Maryland to Alabama and needed a place to stay for the night. My husband wanted someplace cheap and close to the interstate, and I wanted something nice and clean. I looked on trip advisor and saw the great reviews for this hotel so I called to see exactly how far they were from the highway. Anita answered the phone and was so incredibly kind and helpful. She said they were a few miles off of the highway and that there was another Hampton Inn closer to the interstate and even looked up the price for that one as well. They were around the same price but after talking to her on the phone and the wonderful reviews I'd read, I convinced my husband that we should stay at the Downtown location. We were not disappointed. Allegra helped us when we checked in and she was just as sweet as Anita. The cookies at checkin were delicious, the room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. After a long day of driving, we were starving and the manager at the desk gave us a great recommendation for Calhoun's on the river which we also loved. Overall, great experience in Knoxville and at the Hampton Inn.
