“Attention to details! Charming staff. Extremely clean hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

This is one of the "white decor" Hilton Garden Inns, which has been well maintained and is super-clean. Everything you expect from HGI; comfy beds, ergonomic desk chair, sleep system bed, fridge and micro, etc., but this location goes above and beyond with little extras. Housekeeping arranged bed pillows at pretty angle. Paper napkins folded into triangles, towels folded in fans, bath amenities arranged "prettily." Shower caps (which are nice shoe covers in suitcase). HHonors waters presented in gift bag with mini Hershey and Reeses. Lovely landscaping around courtyard, recycling bins in entry vestibule. Room (4th floor) seemed bigger (longer) than other HGIs. Staff is personable, professional, charming actually. Garden Inn breakfast is always good with standard bacon, sausage links, potatoes, omelets, pineapple and melon etc., but this one had extra offerings like Greek yogurt, texas rio red grapefruit halves, grits and divine scones (white chocolate raspberry and blueberry). Management and staff take pride in their property and their jobs. Everyone from front desk, restaurant, chef, maintenance is smiling and friendly. Location easy to find from highway, yet tucked back and secure. Tons of restaurants nearby! We were pleased with every aspect of our stay!

“Last Night Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2011

On our trip from Florida to Ontario this is our last night before arriving home if the weather is good. Sleeping well is important and we like to stay in this hotel as it is close off the highway. Our room was comfortable but very noisy neighbours posed a problem before they were requested to keep the noise down. Staff was friendly and helpful.

“Very Comfortable!”

We had a wonderful time at this hotel! The beds are not ordinary mattresses. They are some hybrid between a Tempur-Pedic and a Sleep Number. Also, the clock radio had several sound effects that you could choose to listen to while falling asleep. We choose one of rain. One of the little amenities I really liked in the bathroom were the makeup remover towelettes they gave us each morning, which worked very well! The location of the hotel is nice too. It's kind of tucked away off the main road which means you have easy access to restaurants and stores, but none of the noise. They have room service, but they get it from the restaurant across the street.

“Knoxville HGI - Cedar Bluff”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2010

I have been staying at this hotel for 2.75 years, with only 4 weeks (in that time period) away from the hotel. While the hotel is your typical Hilton Garden Inn, it is horrible (and that is a gift) on internet speed). I have threatened to leave for a long time now (we have a $89,99 corporate rate, which is why I don't) due to the 10 KB/second internet speed. Honestly, I can get more speed out of a dial up connection. Rather than address the problem, they have lied to me for about 2 years, stating that 'they are almost upgraded' on the connection.
However, when I ask what they are doing for the 'connection', they have no answers, which means they are doing nothing.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE HILTON. However, I despise the HGI in Knoxville. 90% is the internet, but the otehr 10% is the face that I have stayed every week for 2.5 years, but they still do not have the right pillows for me when I arrive.. Seriously, every week for 2.5 years and you can't remember that I want down pillows, not the 'other' kind. Every week, I had to ask them to get me new pillows.
That kind of stuff makes me wonder how they stay in business, but I guess it is because they are a Hilton Property.
The GM/Manager is an idiot. He has no idea what is going on and the only time I have spoke with him in 3 years is when he charged my $400 because one of my employees ruined something in the room (but did told me that he had done this lots of times, but he never told me about it, even though this guy was from India).
All I know: when you have clients that stay with you every week, you better speak with them, talk to them, get to know them; if you want them to stay with you. Once again, 3 years and the only phone call from the GM is to tell me that I owe him lots of money.
Amateur hour here guys.

“Great Rooms, Great Service, Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2010

A very nice place to stay. We were on our way to Gatlinburg and needed a place for the night. We had tried a couple of other hotels very nearby but the lobbies were full of travelers making lots of noise. When we pulled into this parking lot and saw how clean it was I figured it was way out of our price range. The lobby was very nice, spacious and quiet. The staff was excellent, we arriveved at 1:00 a.m. and were very tired. the gentleman at the desk could NOT have been any nicer nor polite. He assisted my by finding a great rate and in minutes we were in our room.

I didn't know what to expect of the rooms since we got such a great deal, around $80 for government rate (and 4th of July weekend). The rooms were wonderfull. The rooms are a little larger than normal with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was a little larger as well. Thewhole room had a modern look and feel. The beds were very comforable. Although we didn't need it, the room had a fridge and microwave.

I travel quite a bit with work and have stayed in many hotel ranging from $400 a night down to $60. This hotel is well worth $125 a night, but you don'y have to pay that.

Overal it was one great night.
