My brother and I had rented 3 rooms between us to be close for a family reunion in the area. While checking in, the maintenance man was leaning on the counter eating and talking loudly on his cell phone. Then the clerk told us that absolutely no one could be on the premises unless they were registered guests - even in the lobby! We asked for a cancellation at which point the clerk called her manager and said I was "pissed off" which I found both offensive and inaccurate. We took our business across the street to the Baymont which is the same price and has a much friendlier atmosphere.

Incidentally, I live in the area and saw in the police blotter today where a man was approached by a woman at this Econo Lodge, who said she was in need of help. He let her into his room to use the phone after which she went to the front desk and told them her boyfriend locked her out and asked for a spare key. When they gave it to her, she went back and robbed his room while he was at the pool.

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Recently I booked a reservation through hotwire.com. When the reservations were complete I found out it was for Econo lodge. I have stayed at others with no problems. This one was the WORST hotel I have stayed at in my life. First of all we checked in and the guest service agent was eating Chips and Dip. She tells me that our room was on the second floor. As you approach the steps you can see the stairs are started to crumble. I was scared to fall.

When we got to our room the 1st room had an awful smell. the lamp was sticky, there were cracks in the wall. I informed the lady about the condition of the room. I then go to a different room where it was in worse condition then the 1st. There were stains on the sheets. Long strands of hair on the pillow cases.

To say the least I rather sleep in the car then sleep in this room. I let the guest agent know again about this room. I start to ask her if I can just be refunded for my stay because I wasn't going to spend $60 a night to sleep here. She explains to me that she or the manager wouldn't be able to refund it. I called hotwire and they spoke with the hotel and I was fortunate to be refunded after I mentioned that there is no one else staying here. . I would never stay here again. This was a travelers worst nightmare.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Simple room with all you need. For the price didn't think the room would include a fridge but was surprised to find one. Was traveling by myself, but would work for a couple. Not romantic or sexy but if you don't plan on spending all day in the room, who cares. Great location right at the end of Turkey Creek. The doors do open to the outside, but that doesn't really bother me so much. For the money, would stay again.

The outside of the hotel doesn't look bad, but our room DESPERATELY needed to be remodeled. There was some mold on the ceiling in the bathroom (probably because their was no fan) and the chair by the bed had some sort of "stain" on it. The furniture in the room was too big, which made it pretty cramped. The clerk at the front desk was friendly though and the lobby appeared to be clean with newer carpet. This hotel was conveniently located off the expressway and is very close to plenty of shopping down the road. I wouldn't stay here again unless I absolutely had to. I didn't feel very safe - just my personal opinion of course.
