Those of you with pets know how impossible it is to find a decent hotel that will accept them. It's doubly hard if, like us, you have more than one animal. More often than not, if they take them, they charge an exorbitant fee. This hotel only charged $10 per pet per night. Since the room rate was reasonable, this is definitely affordable.
We actually lived in Knoxville for 13 years so we know this area well. This exit has everything you need. There are multiple restaurants accessible on foot, as well as a grocery store practically next door. Our room was clean and well furnished. It contained a microwave, fridge, table, two chairs, and an armoire. Our bathroom was clean and generously stocked with linens. The breakfast was hot and fresh.
My only complaint with this hotel is with the outside. There is a ridiculous amount of litter on the grounds. There were beer cans, empty beer cases, pop bottles, liquor bottles . . . . we even saw a crack pipe that had been fashioned from a Dr. Pepper bottle. Pet owners -- if you'd clean up your own messes, more hotels might actually rent to us! That said, the hotel should make itself responsible for cleaning up what pet owners do not. There was a really nice grassy area right outside our door and literally inches off the sidewalk was a HUGE pile of dog mess. We were there for 2 days and none of this was touched. All of this litter and mess probably could've been picked up in about 15 minutes.
All in all, a great value for the money. We'd stay there again.
