Lovely place with extremely friendly staff. Price of room includes a substantial breakfast. There is also free wireless in the room and even a free public computer if you don't have yours with you. The room had a nice Samsung TV too and was very clean and pretty. My family and I always stay at the La Quinta Inn whenever we're driving through Northeast Tennessee/ Southern Virginia. Just an absolute delight!!

Whenever we have to fly really early from TRI, we choose to stay overnight at La Quinta, catch their early breakfast, then take their free shuttle to the airport and leave our car safely parked at La Quinta until we return. This trip we got a great breakfast at 4:30 a.m., immediately were shuttled to the airport at 4:45 a.m. and, when we returned from our trip, the shuttle arrived 5 minutes after we called them. Now that is service!

This La Quinta is located at the Tri-Cities Airport exit right off I-81. It's not a horrible hotel but it is definitely starting to show its age. The entire property could use a major renovation with some updated furnishings and other more modern decor. If you're into 80's turquoise and white-washed oak you'll be right at home here. The laundry facilities were dirty and the machines were in bad shape. Our mattresses sagged in the middle and were not very comfortable. The continental breakfast was basic at best and is unattended. There is, however, a Cracker Barrel next door to the LQ and a couple of fast food restaurants are located across the street from the hotel. I have to rate this La Quinta as just OK but I sure can't give it anything over 3 stars.

We needed an inexpensive hotel for a business trip and La Quinta delivered. The hotel was very much no-frills and definitely due for a refresh--carpeting, fixtures and furniture are looking a bit shabby. And, while it come with some pretty good freebies, the Internet is slow and the breakfast was only alright. That said, everything was clean, staff was friendly, the rooms were quiet and the location is convenient to the airport.
