This place should close while remodeling the entire hotel at once. STINKS. New carpet and paint. Noise.Debris and crap all over the floors. Can't walk the hall. Constant banging by workers. Meanwhile, staff ignores the customers. Instead of taking care of guest needs, sits around on guest computer playing on Facebook. Concierge ignores guests to Twitter or text. Feet on desk. Dressed like slob. Nothing in breakfast area works. Watered down pancake batter. Juice machine broken for days. No gravy made. It's all got plastic hanging all over the place. Couldn't get the tv to work downstairs. It's horrible. Mostly it's the STENCH. Paint AND carpet. My pregnant companion is in hell.

Our son lined up this reservation for us, and he did a good job! The motel is a little hard to find, but our navigation system put us at the front door with no problems; it might have been dicier without it. The fact that it was over a long weekend may explain why it was less than half full, but it was also delightfully quiet. The staff was pretty lackadaisical and seemed more attentive to games on the guest's computer than to the guests themselves! When I called the front desk to say that our coffee supply had not been replenished, I was told I could come to the desk and get some more! Although that attitude left a sour taste in the mouth, the rest of the experience was much more pleasant. I've already made reservations for our next visit!

We stayed at the Sleep Inn in early August. Suite was about $135. It was more quiet than we expected, a nice bonus. Our small crated dog cost a $10 fee, very reasonable compared to what some other chains are charging. Facility was clean, breakfast included waffles, cereal, fruit - nice basic assortment. Suite was a queen bedroom with bath and an adjoining room with fridge, sink, sofa bed. Door between the rooms. TV's in both rooms, free wireless. Staff was polite. I'd recommend it.

The room was pretty clean, so I hope that the owners got the message on stepping up the cleanliness. It's located in a fairly good location, near the highway if you're passing through, and right next to a truly fantastic Atlanta Bread Company sandwich, soup, dessert, and salad place. The free breakfast at the Sleep Inn was more than adequate, clean, neat; and friendly enough housekeeping and breakfast staff.

However, the front desk crew needs BIG improvements. The 20something woman who checked me in was hostile and rude (... all I said was I'd like a room for two nights, please): She sighed, grimaced, flew my papers around -- kinda crazy, schizophrenic-type. I was even concerned she even knew my room number, no kidding. She either needs meds, or forgot to take them. And the older guy at the front desk -- maybe her supervisor/owner? -- was completely out to lunch, borderline cationic. Maybe a relation of the aforementioned female colleague. No customer service sense. I did forget toothpaste, and was able to get a sample toothpaste from another guy at the front desk later that evening - he was half asleep, but helpful.

Overall, I'd say if the Comfort Suite down the street is sold out, this is an acceptable back up.
