We spent one night at this hotel in late November. The hotel is a rather new Hampton Inn. It has all the standard Hampton Inn amenities and layout. In many ways, if you have been to one well run Hampton Inn, you have been to all of them. And in this case, standardization is a good thing. The hotel is quiet, well run and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel makes for a very pleasant night's stay. There are two things that stand out about the hotel / our stay.

First, we were trying to get an early start on our travels in the morning, and we greatly appreciated that the breakfast area was actually open for use a few minutes before the stated 6:00 am time, and with a friendly worker managing the breakfast area.

Second, this hotel is at an exit in the Jackson area with very few other establishments - there is a Courtyard by Marriott next door, and a gas station and hotel on the north side of I-40, but otherwise, I do not recall other establishments at this intersection. From my perspective, this is a good thing, in that one does not have to negotiate a maze of intersections / driveways in unfamiliar surroundings when arriving at the hotel. The downside of course is that there are no restaurants in walking distance. If you prefer a quiet exit, this Hampton Inn makes an excellent stopping point. If you prefer more nearby commercial activity, there are plenty of other lodging options at much more developed intersections in Jackson.

The hotel is very clean, staff efficient and friendly, and room was spacious. However, we were there for 2 nights on and both had business matters to conduct which required us to each use our laptops. And their WiFi was not functioning. We informed staff upon arrival and thought they were re-booting, but never did work. The next day we got a cable and that didn't work. Finally, at 9:00 p.m. on second night, the manager came in and rebooted the entire system (I think that's what happened) then the systerm worked beautifully. But too late for us. They did make it right by us, but I feel that the situation should have been taken seriously 24 hours earlier. Preparation for business I was there for was a complete bust. There is also no where to eat in the immediate vicinity. You have to get in the car and drive several miles. Not sure if I would stay here again.

Made the reservation with the hotel by phone. Deborah was knowledgable and helpful in choosing a room. When we arrived her cheerful smile and welcoming voice made me feel like I was visiting and old friend. Check in was quick and room was outstanding! The next morning at breakfast who did I see assisting with breakfast? Deborah! Her "good morning" and pleasent attitude was surprising! I would not be as "on" having worked the night before. My hair dryer needed replaced and who was at the front desk? Deborah! Don't get me wrong, they had plenty of help but you can tell that Deborah goes wherever she is needed. Yes, my hair dryer was replaced quickly as promised. Check out was pleasent and speedy but without feeling like you hurried out. I love Hampton Inns but I would stay anywhere knowing she was working there!

Deborah, the Manager gave a warm enthusiastic greeting, quickly checked us into our room; #321 with two queen-sized beds at a AAA rate of $107.00 and kindly introduced EJ, the other desk clerk, since soon she would be on her way home for the day. The room was almost what we'd expect of the Hampton Inn and Deborah didn't hesitate to make everything right!

That evening we made use of the seating in the lobby/lounge/breakfast area and watched a Republican Primary Debate and had our dessert we brought back from dinner there as opposed to sitting on our beds in the room.

The hotel is beside the Interstate, and must be adequately sound-proofed, we slept well and weren't bothered at all by road noise.

The breakfast was what you can expect from the Hampton Inn. Yogurt, whole fruit, cut fruit, cereals, muffins, bagels, english muffins, bread, a toaster, a variety of jams, peanut butter, syrup, eggs, ham, fresh waffles. A selection of juices. Hot coffee and tea choices, hot chocolate, plain and flavored creamers and thank goodness Half and Half. The breakfast attendant was very attentive and kept up with keeping the food stocked and everything clean.
