I'm very shocked to see the reviews written about this hotel. I have family in Jackson and have visited there atleast twice a year since I could remember. My husband and I usually pack up the whole family and travel up to see my relatives. We usually stay at the Super 8 everytime.

Paul has been one of the kindest people I have ever met working at a hotel. We love seeing him during our visits. The rooms aren't the most amazing rooms, but the price is extremely reasonable, plus the staff makes sure you're satisfied at all times. It's the furthest thing from "a meth lab" or "prostitute site".
Maybe I missed those items last time i stayed, but I'm certain they don't exist at the Super 8.

I recommend it to all my friends, and not one has complained yet.

I came in town for a funeral and all the decent hotels were booked therefore I had no other choice but to book a room here. I believe this hotel had vacancies because it may be a location frequented by prostitues. I will advise anyone to sleep in your car rather than checking into this location. They should be CLOSED!!!!! Everything is outdated, the carpet is nasty, the blanket on the bed I know for sure was not changed daily and we were awakened to loud noises and fighting at 3:30 am that lasted for approximately 15 minutes until they decided to leave. There was no sign of the fronk desk attendant checking on the situation and I was affraid to turn on my lights because they would know my room had placed the complaint. If someone from Codes reads my review please go by to check on closing this motel until it is suitable for humans.

okay, i am in this hotel as i am writing this review.....my dad is taking me and my 3 children to visit his family in Ohio, so he booked this reservation. i have never in my life stayed at a hotel this overlooked. when i first got here, i put lysol on everything....well, when i was putting my children to bed, i noticed the mattresses....they are brown from stains as are the pillows. i will not even let my children walk on the carpet. thank God i brought their travel potty. the parking lot is horrible. they say they are at full occupancy, but i promise there are probably a total of 10 cars in the parking lot. it is very dark and not well lit up and we are in the very back of the hotel and it does not feel very safe. this is the kind of hotel you would expect a meth lab to be in.....i would not reccomend anyone to stay here.

Pluses - Staff was helpful and nice. They have a pool that looks clean and well kept. Rates are reasonable. They are putting a new roof on the place and they are in the process of making other renovations.

Minuses - Carpets in the rooms are filthy, and there is a really bad odor in the rooms, especially on the second floor. Curtains are visibly dirty. A foul odor makes some of the rooms literally uninhabitable, unless you leave the door open to air them out. Ask to see a room before you pay for one.

The Continental Breakfast here consists of white bread, plastic bottles of artificial butter spread and boxed donuts from a grocery store.
