“Stay Far away. Your Car would be a better place to sleep”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2010

Notice how over the past year there hasn't been a single good review? That should be a sign. I had high hopes when I walked in as the lobby looked great. After I got my card and proceeded to the elevator, the honeymoon ended. This hotel is definitely more along the lines of a seedy motel inside with a beautiful hotel outside. I don't know why I didn't think to check here first. Anyways once I got to my room I was welcomed by a vibrant pink room. Yes that's right, I said pink. I could get past the color if it wasn't for the other defects in the room. First the bathroom. Dirty, Dirty, Dirty. Mildew in the grout of the tile. My "clean" towel had a prominent stain on it. See the picture I added. The scary part is that I didn't put it there. The cleaning crew left the stain prominently displayed. Once you exit the bathroom you notice the dorm style mirror on the wall. I think I picked one of these up from walmart back in the day for 5$. There are holes in the wall where things had hung previously. The walls aren't even painted properly. I noticed white spots around the windows, floors, and the doors. I mean who does that and feels good about their paint job? The "free breakfast" is a joke. They had a tour bus in and instead of ordering more food they ordered the same they normally do. We went down at 7:30 right after they left and guess what? There was nothing. All they said was sorry. I mean they booked ahead of time so you'd think you'd order extra. The front desk agent shrugged his shoulders and recommended that I can get something at a restaurant nearby. I wouldn't ask my worst enemy to stay at this place.

“Overpriced”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2010

This hotel looked great on the outside and the lobby. The room, however, was truly awful. I'm sure the bed was clean, but we checked out without staying because for $98 it should have been MUCH better. The bathroom was dirty looking, the walls were bare, there were no curtains, it looked like an unfinished room. It would have been fine, except for the price. We checked into the Econo Lodge and it was a bigger room (dated, but clean) for $60. I don't mind paying $98 for a hotel, if it is updated, clean, and well-appointed. The Signature was NOT.

“Great beds, terrible breakfast, overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2010

This hotel is simply okay. Very comfortable beds, walking distance to food, minimalistic. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Breakfast was a joke. For a room that cost over $100 you expect more than Tang and stale Walmart buns for breakfast. Staff was nice.

“Overpriced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2010

This hotel should cost $75 a night. If they charge you more than that, don't bother. Staff slow, rooms low class, the whole thing is haphazard. i would not reccomend it.

“Last option if no other rooms available in Jackson”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2010

I reserved two rooms here during a trip when I needed to stay in Jackson two nights and no hotel seemed to have rooms available on one of the nights - except the Signature Boutique! That should have been a warning! The rooms were minimalistic, to say the least. They were generally clean, although my shower had two hairs on the tile that looked as though they could have been left by Crystal Gayle - how a cleaner could have overlooked them is beyond comprehension. I went to the vending area to get two bottles of water - the machine took my money, gave no water, and refused to refund the money (there was no indication water was sold out). I asked the desk clerk about this who replied, "I've been told to say the vending machines are contracted to another company - we're not responsible and I don't keep any money to make change anyway." I replied, "I'm not looking for change - I'm looking for a refund of money put into a machine on your property which did not produce the product for which I paid." The clerk replied, "I'm not supposed to do this, but I know where I can get you some water" and returned with two bottles of warm water. Another guest was at the desk and asked for an extra bottle of shampoo and was told "We're all out of shampoo." In fact, I needed an extra towel and went back to the desk and was told, "We've had a run on extra towels, but I might know where one is." The desk clerk entered a closet and returned with a gold thread-bare towel that had been used for who knows what - but it didn't really matter, as the white towels and wash cloths in the room were so thread-bare they felt like sandpaper. Noise was also an issue, as I was awakened at 3:00 AM by a hallway argument. Not surprisingly, the clerk did not ask how my stay was upon checkout. My advice is to avoid this hotel at all costs unless there are no other rooms available in Jackson and you must stay there.
