Stayed in the Days Inn Hollywood North with my dog as we relocated cross country. I was simply looking for a place to bed down for the night, at a cheap rate, and that's exactly what I got. We arrived earlier than expected, but the staff let us check in, about 1:30 in the afternoon. I mentioned that I had a dog with me, and the website stated that I'd be put in a smoking room, but the staff let me stay in a non-smoking room, so that was an unexpected plus. The room was simple and no frills, the beds comfortable, and the shower small but decent.
The hotel is located right off of the highway, and you can imagine what that means. Traveling alone with my dog was fine, but I wouldn't stay here if I had my wife with me. I'd not be so stingy and pony up a few extra bucks to stay someplace nicer.
There was a small field next to the hotel, which was great for tossing a ball with my dog, getting her some exercise after a long day in the car.
The 'hot' breakfast advertised on the website and hotel marquee consisted of waffles that you could toast and some biscuits with hot gravy in a crock pot. There were also a selection of donuts and cereals. Not expansive, by any means, but it put some food in an empty stomach.
The biggest drawback, though, was the internet service. It was absolutely horrible - probably the worst hotel internet that I've ever used. Pages would not load, and would require multiple refreshes to get anything to display. The wi-fi signal strength was pretty weak, and I suspect that had a lot to do with it. I was in a corner room, at the end of the building, so that may also have affected the quality. At any rate, it was horrible.
Bottom line: if you just want a clean bed for the night, this fits the bill.
