We typically stay at the other Days Inn which is located at the Hwy 45 Bypass location and have had great experiences every time. Friendly staff, well lit for night arrivals and departures, great for families with kids, clean. But this one was completely different. Upon entering the room it was completely dark, the air conditioner was not on (in July!), very musty smell, filthy walls and floors, badly covered holes in the walls, ants in the bathroom, towels were varying shades of off-white and light brown (we had to get them ourselves off of the cart because we could not locate a maid who was not on break)....and if we hadn't have been so exhausted from our trip, we would have left. We will not stay here again and will be paying the ten dollars extra to stay at the Bypass location.

this motel has done some major upgrades since the last time i was here.me and my wife stayed there in july dont know what date, but we stayed for 3 days. the staff was perfect the front desk person was real nice when my remote would not work they sent maintanance right away the maids cleaned our room daily when we needed extra towels no problem the breakfast could have been better but overall stay great.

The only reason we stayed here was because we were traveling ith our dogs. This hotel was below average. When you look at the photos, think match.com. Photos are probably 10 years old, she's old, fat, and ugly now. I can't rate the breakfast because we cut and ran at daylight. Lot of late night activity going on here. Front desk clerk was nice. Only good thing, I can't fault him.

I've never written a hotel review before, but I feel that it is my duty to warn fellow travelers of this particular Days Inn. We were passing through Jackson, TN on our two-day long road trip back home, so we weren't looking for a 4-star hotel or anything.

We arrived around 2 am local time, and we were relieved that someone was available to let us check-in. We were assigned to a room closest to the interstate - I wish I remembered the exact room number.

Anyway, so my husband and I grabbed our two dogs and some bags and entered the room together. Our dogs jumped on one of the double beds and started scratching right away. That should have been my first clue. The room seemed really dirty, so I decided to check for signs of bedbugs just to be safe. I had done my research and knew what to look for, though to my knowledge I've never encountered them before. I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked under the first pillow - there was a patch of either droppings or eggs!! We stood around for about 5 minutes talking about what our plan was - we were so tired and weren't sure where we could find a place to stay this late. But in that 5 minutes, the bedbugs started coming out!! A small one emerged from behind a picture frame that was mounted on the wall above the bed with the droppings. Eww!!! It totally freaked us out. My husband tried to kill it with his shoe or something, but the thing wouldn't die! We started gathering our things in a hurry, and as I was about to turn off the lamp by the door, a big bedbug crawled across the inside of the lampshade! We bolted out the door. Days Inn refunded our money, and we informed them of the bedbugs. To their credit, they seemed shocked, so hopefully they're doing something about it now. Bedbugs are so hard to get rid of, though, so I hope they work to get rid of them completely. By the way, even though we were in the room for only a short amount of time, I later found bedbug bites on my arm. (fyi - bedbug bites typically form some pattern on your skin. I had two bites that were lined up with each other on my forearm.)
