“BYOE”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

Bring Your Own Entertainment, and then be pampered. I had the extreme pleasure of staying here this past weekend. While I live in the same town as this hotel, I managed to feel as if I was on vacation. Even though I have amenities at hand, and no questions to be asked about what the town offers, the staff were extremely helpful and polite during my initial calls before my arrival about hotel offerings, and strived from the very first phone call to checkout to make sure I felt at home. And, they succeeded. This property has struggled having been two other entities prior, but the quality you'd expect from the Hyatt family of hotels is evident. Though the rooms aren't as thoughtfully laid out as you'd expect, Hyatt has transformed them into comfortable and contemporary settings, working with what they had available. The king room was overshadowed by a large screen LG TV, which swiveled on its base to accommodate your viewing pleasure from either the separate sitting area, to relaxing in bed. No fault of the Hyatt, most of the movies offered for viewing were a hefty $18.99, which is outlandish, yet a simple trip back to my home yielded a portable DVD player and a myriad of personal DVD selections. After plugging the unit in to a simple side panel well equipped for even game consoles, a one touch button brought hours of entertainment. Generous 24 hours snacks are also available with a simple phone call, or from an easy touch screen off the lobby near the kitchens. The star of this show is the staff, just barely eclipsed from the obvious limitations they had to work with, to make it your choice to stay outside of Music City.

“GREAT HOTEL!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

My Husband had meeting in Hendersonville so I tagged along with him. The Hyatt was a BEAUTIFUL hotel with all the help greeting you as you enter the door. The rooms were BIG and very nice. Loved the BIG SCREEN LG TV and a nice big couch/ottoman to sit on while using the free WiFi. the room had a fridge/sink and coffee maker. It did not have a microwave but they had one you could use in the breakfast area. I Exercise room was top notch with free weight too. The outdoor pool was very nice but the pool was not heated. They had things you could purchase to eat right at the hotel so you wouldn't have to leave the hotel to eat if you didn't want to and also cocktails to purchase at night. You could do a free breakfast but if you want eggs etc....those you could buy. We went to the Grand Ole Opry one night and it was about a 15 to 20 minute drive. VERY EASY to get to just a lot of stop lights so it depends if you hit the light right. I would for sure stay here again. Great hotel.

“Don't worry, You won't fall through the bathtub.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2011

Recently stayed at this Hyatt and found it is still a nice clean hotel however there were a couple of things that bothered me. First, when taking a shower I had to hold onto the bar in the bathtub/shower area because I felt like I was going to fall through the tub. The bottom of the tub is very flimsy and not like a solid bathtub. It also made me feel very unbalanced. Continental breakfast is served free every morning between 6:30 & 9:30 but it would be nice if they had complimentary coffee or tea throughout the day. They did not. If you go out in the evening and plan to return after 10 pm make note that you have to use your room key to get back into the hotel. The front desk should have told us this when we checked in. Also, I was very dissatisfied with the closet and drawer space. There are 3 small drawers that are next to the bathroom sink and right next to them is the closet of which you can only open up one side. Very limited storage space for your belongs.

“Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2011

This was our first time at a Hyatt Place. It was great. Very clean, pretty decor. Our family was passing through and just needed one night there, so we got one room. Our family of 5 (three teenagers) fit nicely in one room. It would have been a bit tight for more than one night, but there were two double beds and a large sofa sleeper, which was big enough for two teenage boys to sleep on. They didn't complain of springs poking them. The other beds were very comfortable with nice pillows. Clean, clean, clean (including the pool), with a well-functioning air conditioner. It was very quiet. They had a full-size hair dryer (in the drawer of the large vanity). There was a refrigerator and wet bar in the room, as well as ceramic coffee cups for the little coffee maker in the room. The free breakfast was nice--English muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, biscuits and gravy. For an additional price, you could order eggs, waffles, french toast, and other things. All in all, it was a great experience, and I will look for this brand of hotel in the future.
