“Would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2010

The room we reserved was told to us to be a new room. It obviously had had some work done on it but was still in pretty bad shape. It was not as clean as it should be. We would suggest that Choice Hotels keep a closer check on on their properties as many of them are like this one and some even worse. We are not sure if we will continue to use Choice hotels.

“It was great-so much better than these reviews lead you to believe.”

The reviews on this site made us very weary of staying at this hotel, but we figured we would go check it out for ourselves. We stayed in the 2 bed suite with the pullout couch. The room was very clean and had been remodeled (pictures above are not accurate). No hair anywhere on the beds, bathrooms were clean and we didn't have any problems with the toilets. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

“Cost me more than just my stay”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 April 2010

At check in time the clerk asked me if I would need to use wi-fi. Since I had some unfinished e-mail response for the conference I was attending the next day, I said yes, so he gave me a print out of the code to use and user name and password to get on wi-fi. I followed the instructions (I don't use wi-fi at all nomally) and got on line to finish answering my emails. About 2 minutes into my work, alert after alert came up saying my computer was being attacked and to get the digital protection offer that kept poping up. I kept closing out of it but it didn't stop the pop-ups and interuptions. Not only that but it downloaded pornography icons on my desktop that I couldn't get rid of. Come to find out, my computer was infected with several viruses because Quality Inn did not have a secure service provider which they did not bother mentioning when they asked if I wanted to use internet service. Needless to say, I didn't get the work done that I needed to for my conference the next day and I HAVE HAD TO TAKE MY COMPUTER TO HAVE IT TOTALLY WIPED CLEAN AND WILL LOSE ALL OF MY PROGRAMS AND FILES. THIS ALONE IS COSTING ME MORE THAN THE 2 NIGHTS I STAYED HERE!!!!!!!
I will never stay at this Quality Inn or any other Quality Inn again, simply for this reason alone. At check out time, I did make the desk clerk aware of what happened and he apologized and said he would contact their provider. Who knows??? That certainly doesn't compensate me for my expense!!

“Not what it appears to be on website. :(”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2009

First of all we thought we had a great place to stay according to the internet photos, but, upon pulling into the facility it wasn't welcoming at all. Looked like a ghost motel and we quickly learned why. We were unaware it was an exterior entry motel. The locals claim it's not a good place to be on the weekends...if you know what I mean. We were unaware it used to be a Super 8 until my husband asked the front desk clerk. The children and I were traveling with my husband for business. The picture on the website of the lobby is accurate, but it looks like they cheaply remodeled the inside, but need to work on the outside and location. This gives Quality Inn a bad name and less than trustworthy reputation. Our 'suite' was actually 2 rooms connected by an entry way. One had 'living room' ammenities, the other was the bedroom. 2 bathrooms were nice to have, but they are stingy with their towels. After checking in we called the front desk to ask about their complimentary cribs. The clerk wasn't sure they had any, then asked me to come get it. I declined and we unloaded our pack and play from the car instead. Since we assumed we were going to stick it out for the rest of our stay we also called to ask about having a table and chairs that we'd seen in all the smaller rooms moved into our room so we'd have a place to eat. The front desk clerk was again not sure he could do that, he'd have to check with the manager because on the weekends they are "busy busy". There were only 4-5 cars in the parking lot at this point and they weren't lining up to get in the place. A few hours later when house keeping came, a lady and gentleman moved the table and chairs into our room. We aren't sure why a table and chairs isn't standard in the suites in the first place. The floor to the lobby/breakfast area was cheap and made an aweful sound every step you made. Breakfast was the same thing every morning, even the hot foods. We are used to a variety of hot foods at other hotels to accomodate the guests that are staying long periods. Our 3rd morning there they were out of yogurt, which was about the only thing our entire family would eat. At that point we looked elsewhere.

“Not as bad as I initially thought”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 April 2009

This hotel was old. Outside entrances with concrete balconies so every time a wheeled suitcase went by you heard thump, thump, thump. The rooms had recently been re-done and were very clean, new marble countertops (kinda like lipstick on a pig because it was still an old hotel.) We tried not to be too negative when we saw our room.. it was very clean and the beds were comfy. We had a good night's sleep, which is what we were after. The price wasn't bad either.

The same man who checked us in at 10pm was there again at breakfast. He was very nice and accomodating. When we told him the ice maker was broken, he offered to get some from the kitchen, and then called the owner to fix it. It was working within 10 minutes. Thank you! They had the typical continental breakfast with one wafflemaker for a packed room.

Bottom line, it was a good night's stay for not too bad of a price. Not the nicest hotel I've been to, but it was very clean (unlike other reviews), and right off I65S but not so close that you could hear traffic. I'd stay here again.
