“Not what it appears to be on website. :(”
First of all we thought we had a great place to stay according to the internet photos, but, upon pulling into the facility it wasn't welcoming at all. Looked like a ghost motel and we quickly learned why. We were unaware it was an exterior entry motel. The locals claim it's not a good place to be on the weekends...if you know what I mean. We were unaware it used to be a Super 8 until my husband asked the front desk clerk. The children and I were traveling with my husband for business. The picture on the website of the lobby is accurate, but it looks like they cheaply remodeled the inside, but need to work on the outside and location. This gives Quality Inn a bad name and less than trustworthy reputation. Our 'suite' was actually 2 rooms connected by an entry way. One had 'living room' ammenities, the other was the bedroom. 2 bathrooms were nice to have, but they are stingy with their towels. After checking in we called the front desk to ask about their complimentary cribs. The clerk wasn't sure they had any, then asked me to come get it. I declined and we unloaded our pack and play from the car instead. Since we assumed we were going to stick it out for the rest of our stay we also called to ask about having a table and chairs that we'd seen in all the smaller rooms moved into our room so we'd have a place to eat. The front desk clerk was again not sure he could do that, he'd have to check with the manager because on the weekends they are "busy busy". There were only 4-5 cars in the parking lot at this point and they weren't lining up to get in the place. A few hours later when house keeping came, a lady and gentleman moved the table and chairs into our room. We aren't sure why a table and chairs isn't standard in the suites in the first place. The floor to the lobby/breakfast area was cheap and made an aweful sound every step you made. Breakfast was the same thing every morning, even the hot foods. We are used to a variety of hot foods at other hotels to accomodate the guests that are staying long periods. Our 3rd morning there they were out of yogurt, which was about the only thing our entire family would eat. At that point we looked elsewhere.
