Lovely overall experience.
Property: Fine, in Cool Springs which is a very new, office park adjacent area. Your basic medium-sized Marriott property. Starbucks in lobby. Restaurant onsite and room service. Did not check out fitness area. Pool adjacent to lobby which leached out chlorine smell to the common area. Hotel connected to a conference center. Lots of roomy lobby space and lots of folks taking advantage of the bar and areas to convene.
Staff: OVERLY pleasant all around. There is polite, then there is a point at which you don't want to hear, "Yes ma'am, we are happy to take care of that right away, ma'am, our pleasure ma'am" anymore. I get it, they really emphasize good service, but after the 23rd ma'am I felt like staff was reading a script rather than just being genuinely nice. Still, better than the alternative, and all staff was prompt and very helpful.
Rooms: Nice, big, roomy. Good desk/table with office-type chair. Flat screen TV, bed was amazing, great pillows, fluffy comforter. Big bathroom - with seriously the best bathroom light of any bathroom anywhere. Nice towels. Bathroom amenities were limited but fine. Good lighting throughout. You have to pay for wireless which REALLY IRKS ME.
Cons: NOISE. Big gap under the door means I heard every hall conversation and door opening. Showers made heckuva racket and could hear every time any room to the left, right, over or under me turned it on. Could hear people talking through the walls, and they were not loud.
I got a great deal on Priceline. Not sure property is worth anywhere close to rack rate, but a nice spot for a business stopover.
Room Tip: Ask for room towards end of hallways, as hall noise is really bad in the middle.
