This Ramada recently accquired the previous Holiday Inn. It is very clean. The best part, however, is the true Southern hospitality graciously given by the staff. Truly endorse this hotel.

I recently stayed at this facility and I just wanted to share my experience with others. I was on my way back from a long trip with my two small children and had to stop for the night. Smiling faces greeted me at the door and my stay was wonderful! After checking in and trying to unload my car and small children, I was floored by what happened next. The manager (who I saw behind the counter as I was checking in) was walking across the parking lot and saw my struggle with my suitcase, diaper bag, baby carrier, etc. Here this man goes out of his way by crossing the parking lot and introduces himself to me and asks if he may help carry my bags to the room! Chivalry is not dead ladies!!!
The rooms were very clean and you could tell the housekeeping staff pays attention to detail unlike others I have seen! I was impressed with the hot breakfast that was served as well! Everyone I encountered was extremely nice with smiles on their faces and I definitely recommend this hotel to others!!!

My experience at the Holiday Inn Dickson was dismal. My room was clean and there was a restaurant on site - but that was the limit of positives in the experience. To be fair, this is a very old property in desperate need of an update. The cons: loud traffic noise, loud in-room air/heat, old style motel set up (direct outside door), very low water pressure in the shower, mediocre staff, no priority club upgrades available or offered.. The place had a truck-stop feel and I would not feel safe if my wife and children had been with me. The pros: in room internet access and an attempt to maintain high levels of cleanliness.

From the glowing feedback I read from others, I was quite surprised at our own experience. The wireless works great (which I am using right now). That's where the good news ends. Kids eat free and room service? Well, that's probably true if the restaurant were open. However, the ads didnt mention that the restaurant is only open on weekends. After a long day of travel and a fruitless trip to the restaurant, we had to pack everyone back up in the car and find an open restaurant. When we finally settled in, the room was so cold that the kids huddled in their coats for 45 minutes until it warmed up. (I've never thought about that before, but I guess most hotels have the heat going?) The night was long. The heater developed a clanging noise during the night. I finally turned it off, but we were so close to the freeway that all we could hear then were sounds of trucks whizzing by. The drain in the bathroom tub was clogged, so by the time I was done with my shower, I was calf high in water. Yuck. I had to hold the drain open manually until it drained. Dings all over the walls and doors patched with paint that didn't match made for a slightly seedy atmosphere. Surely you could find a better option in a town with this many hotels.
