I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, when it was a Holiday Inn, then a Garden Inn and now a Clarion. The most recent stays were the last two weekends in November (travelling thru for Thanksgiving). I always request a room in the Executive Wing, since these units have been remodeled and have much nicer bedding, refrigerators, and more modern amenities.
The pool and hot tub are nice and this is the only hotel I know of in Cookeville with an adjacent lounge that offers drinks and a limited food menu. On weekends, they have karaoke.
For a quick place to spend the night, with comfortable accomodations, indoor pool and hottub, lounge, free wifi, breakfast and fridge, you can't beat the AAA price (about $60 last time).
I recommend it to anyone who is just passing through or staying a couple of days.
