I don't understand where the other travelers on this site get the reviews that they have put for this hotel. The claims made in those reviews are so far fetched that MTV wouldn't even use them as a plot. This motel was definitely worth the price that I paid. There was NO bugs, and everything worked perfectly. Overall, it was a suitable stay, the staff was very nice. Definitely don't consider the ridiculous claims made in the other reviews.

My family and I stopped there in June on our way down to Alcoa, TN. While it looked very nice it the internet, it was appalling in person. The first "suite" we were placed in had a bug running around and the AC did not work at all. My husband went down to the main desk to complain and they moved us to a different "suite." While my 2 year old daughter and I waited for my husband to bring our luggage down to the new room, we decided to open the window and look around. When we did, we witnessed a drug deal occur right in front of our eyes. My husband then pulled up and a man approached him and asked him for alcohol and if he knew where he could get some. Needless to say, we kept all of our luggage in the car and went straight up to the office and demanded a refund and informed them that they needed to call the police. When looking for a new hotel around that area, all the hotels said they were not surprised to hear about our mishappenings. For future reference- FAIRFIELD INN is where is we stay from now on when we travel through Cookeville!

I didn't pay a lot for the room on Hotwire, so I guess you get what you pay for.

Not much better than a basic Motel 6 or 8.

Room very standard. Outdated fridge made loud noises. Bathroom old, not clean, "renovated" - but not quite. Microwave did not work. We didn't even try the tv, so can't comment. Beds were ok - not fabulous. An old, tired property.

Girl at front desk was busy erasing room numbers off the little card envelopes they give you with your room key in - I stood there staring at her for a good three minutes while she completed this important task. "They are expensive, we re-use them" she said. ???? When she did finally help me check in (I was the only person there) she was slow and didn't quite seem to know what she was doing. Lobby smelled of disinfectant and deodorizer - nasty.

There was no way we would have stayed to eat anything at that hotel - so can't comment on the breakfast!!!!!

Furnishings were outdated and property is generally not well kept. There was a bug in bathroom when I went to shower. We woke up everytime the air conditioner came on, due to some loud noise it was making. When I asked for an adjustment of some sort on my bill the next morning, my request fell on "deaf ears".
