We were driving back to Cincinnati on our way back home from Alabama and wanted to spend the night along the way. We decided to check out the Hampton Inn. We didn't have any reservations. We were greeted by the friendly desk clerk that made us feel welcomed. The lobby of the hotel was very nice and clean. In the lobby was an area with about a dozen or so tables and chairs primarily used for the free breakfast in the morning. In the corner was a living room type setting with a sofa and a place to watch TV.

The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. The only probably was getting the temperature in the room regulated to our liking...it either got too hot or too cold after making small adjustments to the heater/ac unit.

Around the hotel there aren't many choices if you are looking for a place to eat. We had to drive about 15 miles or so in town to find a place to eat. Once in town, there are tons of choices.

We stopped here on way back from Florida to Indiana with granddaughter. It was a nice hotel with friendly staff and nice outdoor pool. Enjoyed the breakfast and the on the go snack bag. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Columbia for 1 night. We booked 2 rooms and were happy they gave us adjoining rooms as requested. The rooms were clean and in relatively good shape. One of the rooms came with a refrigerator and microwave. We found a bottle of water and snack waiting for us in each room due to my HHONORS status. Our rooms faced the highway, and although there was some noise from the road, especially early in the morning, the fan on the heater and our white noise generator did an ample job of blocking it out. More of a problem was the noise of people walking around above us, but luckily they went to sleep about the same time we did. The pool is outside so of course was closed in March. The exercise room was large, and had 3 cardio machines, with the bike being a bit worn, but still working OK. Cookies in the evening were a nice touch. Breakfast was standard for Hampton Inn. The staff did a good job keeping items stocked and the breakfast area clean. All staff members we encountered were very friendly. The hotel is very convenient to I-65, but there is very little else in the immediate area. Overall it was a good stay.

The Hampton Inn Columbia, Tennessee is a gem of a hotel. Very clean with a really good shower. Great water pressure and the shower head actually worked as intended. Our room was very clean and even though close to I-65, our room faced the woods and was very quiet. Super courteous, friendly staff and we enjoyed an excellent breakfast of scrambled eggs with ham, sausage, potatoes, fruit, coffee, juice, pastries, etc. as typical with Hampton Inns, breakfast was included. A USA Today was at our door in the morning and free Wi-Fi. Bed was very comfortable. Over the years we have stayed several times at this hotel and will continue to stay here because it is a great value and I like being treated as a friend vice a customer.
