Earlier this year while organizing a large project to clean up unexploded ordnance at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, I found it really difficult to find a suitable location to house my troops (unexploded ordnance bomb disposal specialists) for the hard, dangerous work they were to face. Then, I saw the Riverview Inn in Clarksville, TN sitting majestically on a hill overlooking the beautiful Cumberland River. I took a long shot move and walked in. There I met the consummate professional in Ms.January Skaggs, Desk Manager. Something came over me that reassured me we'd be taken care of. And we were. Ms. Skaggs labored at arranging for our stay. That was the beginning of an experience to remember. From housekeepers to those who prepared the well-stocked breakfast buffet each day, from the grounds keepers to the desk personnel, we were constantly met with that "I careness" attitude. You really felt like family. Every request, no matter how small or large, was filled with friendliness and nurturing. By people who treated our needs like it was the most important thing they had to do.
This facility, set in the backdrop of an historically marvelous town, is a treat to stay in. The old facility next door with its vintage advertisement painted on its wall and the other well preserved treasures around town close by are an eye-bathing experience.
I will treasure my stay with a super staff of people and nice surroundings.
If there were only one negative comment I would make it would be that the facility could've used some upgrading/maintenance. Some carpets were frayed and/or wrinkled, and some wall finishes were detriorating.
Albeit, thank you Riverview Inn, Clarksville, Tennessee.
