“Very Comfy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

We had our wedding reception in the Montgomery Room in October. The room looked great! Chef Wendall's food was fabulous as usual. Renee Bruens, event planner for the hotel, is always awesome to work with. ( Our second event with her coordinating) The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Paula, the bartender, took very good care of us. I would recommend the Riverview to anyone.

“Professionalism Beyond Comparison”

Earlier this year while organizing a large project to clean up unexploded ordnance at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, I found it really difficult to find a suitable location to house my troops (unexploded ordnance bomb disposal specialists) for the hard, dangerous work they were to face. Then, I saw the Riverview Inn in Clarksville, TN sitting majestically on a hill overlooking the beautiful Cumberland River. I took a long shot move and walked in. There I met the consummate professional in Ms.January Skaggs, Desk Manager. Something came over me that reassured me we'd be taken care of. And we were. Ms. Skaggs labored at arranging for our stay. That was the beginning of an experience to remember. From housekeepers to those who prepared the well-stocked breakfast buffet each day, from the grounds keepers to the desk personnel, we were constantly met with that "I careness" attitude. You really felt like family. Every request, no matter how small or large, was filled with friendliness and nurturing. By people who treated our needs like it was the most important thing they had to do.

This facility, set in the backdrop of an historically marvelous town, is a treat to stay in. The old facility next door with its vintage advertisement painted on its wall and the other well preserved treasures around town close by are an eye-bathing experience.

I will treasure my stay with a super staff of people and nice surroundings.

If there were only one negative comment I would make it would be that the facility could've used some upgrading/maintenance. Some carpets were frayed and/or wrinkled, and some wall finishes were detriorating.

Albeit, thank you Riverview Inn, Clarksville, Tennessee.

“$1,500 dollar extra charge and won't do anything about it”

Terrible Hotel. I was working in the area for two weeks and stayed at this hotel. I paid for the room on my credit card, and when I received my statement Riverview had charged me (3) three times what I should have been charged. I've placed several calls to them, left several messages, talked to several people and all saying they/manager would get back to me. Then, finally they get back to me and tell their still charging me even though I have proof (witnesses, lease agreements, emails, receipts) that I was not there. They said since their 'maids' said I was still in the room they can't take back the charges. No Joke. The manager left it up to the maids to decide if I should get my $1,500 dollars back. So either they don't give a &$%# or they double booked my hotel room to make some extra money.

“Nice lobby and pool... poor rooms and not so great breakfast.”

Room was shabby. Only plus was the flatscreen. Shower had hot spurts, as if the toilet were flushing. Our bathroom toiletries were less than poor. Could hear conversation in the next room and ice machine rattling in hall. Went down to front desk to buy batteries and waited 7 minutes for service becausr attendant was a teenager in thr back on a phone call. View of river was nice, but windows were so old and dirty that it wasnt worth bothering. Looks like a nice hotel online, but it was a real dissapointment. Rates should be lowerr for this kind of quality... or lack of it. They did price match my online booking quotes and sheets and towels were clean. Wouldnt bring a baby baby, walls are too thin.
