“First Class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2010

I have traveled a lot and this has been the best hotel hotel that I have stayed in in 22 years. I recommend this establishment to anybody who travels to Clarksville.

I had the opportunity to go home during my work in Clarksville, but I decided to stay at my second home instead. The full kitchens, free dinners every Wednesday, and the gazebo are just some of the things that make me feel at home when I am away from home.

The staff truly makes you feel that you are at home, caters to your needs. If there is anything that they can do to make you enjoy your stay, they will most definately go out of their way to do so. I will recommend that my office will always stay at Home-Towne Suites, no matter which part of the country we work in.

“Not your typical Home-Towne Suites...just average!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 May 2010

We've become spoiled by EXCEPTIONAL HTS locations in Tuscaloosa and Auburn. This place looks like an old WWII barracks that has been converted to a hotel. The musty smells and the fact that there is no elevator, just don't give one a great first impression. Here's the biggest problem, though. IF YOU MAKE RESERVATIONS VIA THE WEBSITE or ORBITZ, you'd better call the property and confirm it. In Auburn, reservations that were made directly on the HTS site weren't recorded at the hotel site. Even though I had a reservation number, it was still a chore to check in. Another time, we booked through Southwest Airlines (which uses Orbitz) and none of that information was communicated to the property. They told me, "Oh...we didn't have your number on file, so we couldn't confirm that you were coming. We had people who wanted to extend, and we gave them permission." Let it suffice to say that short of becoming an overflowing volcano, my contempt with such a policy got us into our rooms, but not until they tried to move us to neighboring properties. I agree with just about everyting that others say on this forum, and have seen the best and worst of what can happen here. We found the staff to be VERY helpful, and courteous, but weren't too psyched about the physical property. We'll probably move to a different property in Clarksville, since this location is just not on-par with our expectations for a HTS location. If you need an economical, clean and convenient place to bed for a night or two, though, this is an acceptable place. (Oh....no health center, but you do get free membership at a big fitness center down the street...very nice)

“Economical but smoke odors”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2010

While the daily rate for the room was very economical, I was disappointed with the overall experience. We booked a double room for three nights with part of our party staying an additional 4 nights in a single room room. It was cumbersome manipulating large luggage up the staircase (no elevator). We were in a"smoke free" room on the second floor but the second floor reeks of cigarette smoke. Request was made for the single room to be located on the first floor due to the odors but this was not fulfilled. The carpet is very worn and needs replaced.

“Definately a Home Away from Home”

I love to travel here. Every time I come through I know I am going to get my money's worth. I love the staff. They are incredibly friendly and accomadating. The sheets are great! Shopping and the interstate are right near the hotel which makes traveling easier. The reason they are my home away from home happened when I joked about how hard it was to fall asleep without my aeration fan, and that night I went to my room someone went out and bought one! Incredible!

“Great Place to stay”

The Prattville AL Hometowne Suites is an extraordinary place to stay. I stayed for about 2 months. All of my request and needs were handled immediately. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Any repair needed was handled immediately by the on site maintenance, day , night or weekend. The room was well kept and comfortable. The rates were great. Ammentities were fantastic. I can't say enough good about this place. I travel about 10 months out of the year and Hometowne Suites is the best place I've stayed. The only negative thing I have to say about Hometowne Suites is there's not enough of them around the country. If there were more, I'd stay exclusively in them.
