“If You have to use internet at night, don't even think about staying here...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2011

I am on day two of my trip and I simply had enough! Everything else about the hotel is fine. Like others have said it is outdated compared to other Hampton Inns I have stayed in. But that is not a real issue for me. The problem is the internet, the so called "high" speed wifi.
For two nights now I have struggled trying to access simple websites, let along editing and saving documents on my work site through VPN. I don't do any kind of downloading/uploading. All I want to do is to check my emails and update my blog. But apparently this is too much for the wifi, which will not even let me search for a restaurant in google earlier today. I became very curious at what my actual internet speed was. Just take a wild guess how slow it is...and look at the photo I uploaded. This is simply unacceptable, especially for a "business" chain.
I am taking my third night of business in Clarksville to a hotel down the road. I do not want to pack all my stuff and move just one night before my trip is over, but I couldn't take the internet speed anymore. It literally ruined this trip for me by not allowing me to relax on the net through my normal means and not allowing me to work.

“Good night's sleep, great hospitality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2011 via mobile

Spent one night in king room. Staff warm and welcoming at check-in. Free snacks, beverages in lobby in evening.

Outside corridors are a downer, but the hotel will be remodeled to make it a modern Hampton.

Hampton beds, amenities. Whirlpool tub was nice. Shower stall a little cramped, but room was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Good, plentiful hot breakfast.

“Not a Hampton Inn like I am used to.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2010

Our stay was fine and the bed seemed like a Hampton bed, as did all the other amendities in the room (Flat screen, coffee pot, fridge, micro, shampoo, soap, pillows, table, dresser, etc. But that is where it ends. It is like they went down the check list of THINGS the room should have and put them in it. But then there was no space left in the room for the guests and we only had one queen bed. Bathtub/shower was in bad shape and no water pressure. The pool did look nice and the breakfast was standard Hampton. If you read these reviews and still choose to stay there you should not be surprised and thus maybe it will be fine for you. However, had we read the reviews we would not have booked it.

“Good value for families with the free breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2010

All you will read in the reviews to date is true - it's not the same style as other Hampton Inns. The hotel is a 2 story walk up (no elevators) and seems to have lived life as a different brand at some point. 2nd floor seems to be smoking rooms and ground floor non-smoking. The room we had was very clean, fairly spacious, nice flat screen TV and especially nice bed linens and pillows. There was a room safe, microwave, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, soaps, shampoo, and fridge in the room as well.

The property also has an outside pool which looked very clean and an inside exercise facility. The buffet breakfast is very good with hot items (eggs, fried potatoes and gravy and waffles) as well as fruit, cereal, juices, yogurt and bagels.

Check in staff were friendly when we visited and the manager was present and busy working around the property which is nice to see - it seemed he was concerned about the guests' stay.

It's a bit overpriced for what it is but most of the hotels in this immediate area are this price. With the free breakfast, it's a fair value though, better than going out and spending at a restaurant for the family. Free wifi was advertised as well.

“Don't stop...keep on going down the highway”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

This Hampton Inn is nothing like the Hampton Inns I typically stay at. It's decor is old, tired and dated. I honestly have to wonder why it is still carrying the Hampton Inn banner. Either we visited on a bad night or corporate folks haven't paid a visit in a while. The room was filthy with dirty carpets, a heavy smoke smell, and very poor lighting. The a/c unit was extremely noisy and kept cutting on/off all night. I can't describe the breakfast as we arrived late from Atlanta and left after only about 5 hours because we had to be in the outskirts of St. Louis by 9 a.m. If there was ever a reason to invoke the 100% guarantee, this would be one such occasion, but my husband was in too much of a hurry to get to our destination.
