“Nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2011

There are so many places to choose from, especially in big cities. We stayed here last August and had a pleasant trip. It was very interesting that we got the same room this time. It's not a palace but the rate is reasonable. The breakfast isn't a feast but it's better than some; there is a waffle maker, yogurt, fruit cereal and some bakery items. We stayed at a place in Northern TN that had a waffle maker on the counter with an "out of order" sign on it (my husband thought it was because they didn't want to provide the batter or clean it up). The staff is very friendly and helpful.

“Great Hotel, "Well worth the money"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 April 2011

This was my 2nd stay at a Quality Inn and Suites. The price was well within my budget and the location was only 12 miles from downtown Chattanooga. I almost died when I picked up one of those hotel coupon books from the rest area just leaving Atlanta coming into Tennessee (JACKPOT!!!). This saved me an extra $20.00/day. My initial inspection of the room meet my standards. I only had two compliants (pet hair, faulty toilet). The staff was extremely apologetic and offered to switch my room within 15 mins. Overall, I appreciatied the friendly staff and service. I would definitely stay here again.

“OK except for sticky doors”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 March 2011

Good location, near lots of restaurants, good pool, very small breakfast area considering number of guests (forced to eat elsewhere), clean, comfortable beds, fairly quiet.
Major annoyance: sticky outside doors and bathroom doors (the kids couldn't get out without adults pulling on knob. The outside doors were very sticky; it took seven to ten tries to get the doors to open. Since we were there two days this situation became very annoying. Other guests on our wing had similar problems, including an elderly couple who could just not budge that sticky door. It got funny after awhile, drawing helpful crowds, offering advice and stout shoulders. Replace those door locks. They're at the end of their useful lives.

“Unsafe, nasty and rude - i will sleep under a bridge first!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2011

Went on a weekend trip to Chattanooga with the kids. One is 8 and the other is 18. Hair on the bed. Had trouble getting into the room... every single time. The cleaning people couldn't even get in. The lock was broke - looked like someone had tried to break in before. I told maintenance. When I checked out Sunday morning he verbally assaulted me and my mother stating that we didn't know how to use the swipe card. He said that you have to insert and remove card and then pull on the door and then push on the door while pulling then handle down. Yes - he showed me how - it took him 6 tries! Hair on the bed. Lady yelled at us while making waffles.

“Chance of electrocution and inedible food. Never again.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2010

There were open outlets in two places. Under the desk and the outlet behind the nightstand had half it's cover missing. If we had a child or pet with us it would have been a real electrocution hazard. Also the wires were exposed behind the hairdryer, and the toilet paper holder was coming out of the wall. The bottom sheet was stained and had holes in it. We travel with our own towels and sheets because I have allergies to certain detergents. If we hadn't had our own we'ed have left. I did use one of their washcloths to see how clean the bathroom floor was and it game up dark gray with dirt and there was mildew in the shower grout. The closet doors wouldn't stay shut so every time we opened the bathroom door it would bang into them. The couch also had a stain on it and the lamp on one of the night tables had a messed up switch that was lose and you had to wiggle and twist it at the same time to make it turn on and off. We went to Walmart and bought cleaners and I cleaned the room myself and doused it in Lysol for good measure. (if they didn't do it right the first time I didn't trust them to do it better if I complained) The microwave made a terrible loud noise when we turned it on and we promptly turned it back off. The heat/air unit made it feel like the middle of the desert one minute and the next was like being in the arctic. It was very hard to find a middle ground. The breakfast was nauseating with the exception of the waffle maker set up. The first morning the only eggs they had were hard boiled. The doughnuts, biscuits, and bagels were dry enough to choke you and the sausage was so spicy it was almost inedible. The next day the "eggs" were nasty over cooked dried out egg substitute pancakes. They never had gravy. The syrup for the waffles was off-off brand and had a bad after taste. The fruit was on the verge of going bad. The hot water for tea, hot coco, and ect. wasn't even hot enough to dissolve the cocoa, and the milk for the cereal was room temp. The indoor pool had a green tinge to it and we decided not to use it. The bed was comfortable after I disinfected it and it slept good. We didn't use the coffee maker in room because we didn't trust it to be clean. The staff was nice enough but weren't knowledgeable about the local attractions. We stayed in room 118 which was a handicap accessible room or so they said. The sink was really too high for a lot of wheelchairs bound people to reach the faucet and if in a chair you wouldn't have been able to reach the closet bar or even open the closet doors because of the close space. I sometimes have to be in a wheelchair, but this trip I was able to get away with just my cane. The room was also the second to last room which made it farthest from the lobby and breakfast area meaning you have the farthest to go when you are the one who has trouble getting around and since all the doors to the rooms are outside you are exposed to the elements the entire way. We won't be staying there again.
