This is a tired property that needs a lot more TLC before it gets another green dot. We checked in after a long day and the desk staff seemed sketchy at best. The room WAS indeed clean and tidy, it had been recently renovated and the beds were comfy. When I went looking for ice, I ended up on the top floor, in a hovel of a space, which was dirty, smelly and unfit for habitation. I remain unsure as to why that place is open to the public. The busy Lee Highway was right outside our door and traffic seemed endless until about 0300. Apart from this, the attached restaurant is a gem and not to be missed. Food is tremendous, quick and great value. We had a late take-out supper and it was smashing. We also had breakfast there next morning and the jalapeno omelette is an otherworldly experience. We might stay again but I would certainly look elsewhere in the very charged Chattanooga marketplace.
