“Really very clean & pleasant. Comfy bed too.”

I read so many reviews & got my hotels mixed up & accidentally booked this one thinking it was decent. Went back after I booked through priceline(you pay when you book) & realized it had gotten some crappy reviews. I wasn't looking forward to it.
WARNING - they do automatically book everyone in a smoking room (guess they can't book those up) so be sure you confirm that you have non-smoking!!
When we arrived I saw the health inspection report hanging on the wall by the check in counter, 94 out of 100. Pretty good.
Front desk lady was super nice! Pool area was clean, floor was wet all over so, be careful. My room was on 3rd floor, 315 I think. Super clean. Beds are soft & comfy.
As in another review, the fridge does make a funny clicky noise, but if you turn the fan on on the heater, & it drowns it out.
Breakfast wasn't so good. There is a mcdonalds & hardees right in front of the hotel, fast food stinks but, some like it. Cracker Barrel & a Walmart are 1 exit up & down town Chattanooga is 1 exit up the other way. Hotel is right off highway.
Just an FYI, the remote for the TV doesn't work from far away, you have to be close to change the channel. Not a big deal.
Every now & then we smelled smoke in the elevator, but no where else. Not sure where the smoking rooms are but they do not seem to be on the 3rd floor.
I did like being so close to downtown, but not right there in all the noise. :D

Room Tip: I asked for a room far away from elevators for quiet.

“Nice to have a quiet smoking room ;-)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

My wife and I stayed right before New Years' Eve in room 402 and were both very pleased with it.
We both smoke and that was a VERY nice option to have (a smoking room).
It was near the end of the hall and did not hear a soul in the building the whole time inside it.
The bathroom was nice, clean and kept up to what you would want.
The selection of TV channels were VERY nice also.
It doesn't take much to make me happy....
so a clean room, quiet, wifi & tv options, nice heat & ac, and a nice bathroom is all I wanted...
and 402 fit the bill quite well.
Oh.....
the swimming pool was VERY nice that night. (Hot tub in the pool room was very nice too)
The only thing I would not like a lot with the property is the size of the breakfast area.
The hotel was full to capacity that night and from what can easily be seen there is just not enough square footage and tables for that size building and room capacity.
But hey.... it's not like the employees decided to wake up one day and magically snapped their collective fingers and made it small :-p
Plus....
I sincerely hope they have someone that can tend to the breakfast area that does NOT have to work the front desk at the same time.
Nothing good ever comes from that sadly.
Anyways...
overall we would stay there again.
The location is a plus too (because we LOVE Ruby Falls and Rock City)

Room Tip: If you do NOT smoke.... you may not like ANY room on the 4th floor. Any and all smoking rooms are...

“Paid too much for what we got.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

We stayed at this hotel on our way home from Florida on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We usually stop a little farther north, but traffic was completely stopped on Interstate 24 so we stopped here. Never again! The hotel was OK and the beds and the bathroom were clean, but the upholstered chair and footstool were stained and there were dirty marks on the wall. The latch on the side door was broken so anyone could walk right in; no need to use your room card. We reported it to the desk clerk Sunday night, but it was still not locking on Monday when we left. There was ample breakfast in the morning. We often stay at the Comfort Suites in the Villages and pay less for a much nicer room. This hotel was less than we expected for what we paid.

“Stay away from this motel !!!”

Absolutely the worst hotel we have ever stayed in !! The first night the refrigerator made noise all night long - moved us to a second room the next a.m. where the fire alarm would not shut off - third room was o.k. but when we went back to our first room within 20 min. only to discover that the bed had been stripped and my expensive jacket and slacks were gone - left two men's shirts behind !! When we reported it to the day clerk ( she must have been the managers wife - she was so rude - acted like we were lying !!! We met with the manager to no avail - showed us all the junk that was left behind but no jacket or slacks! These two articles were STOLEN !!The breakfasts were horrible , molding cream cheese and hard bagels, and soggy waffles !! This really gives choice hotels a bad name - if these are locally owned , they need to get rid of these people !! Will never stay at a choice hotel again !!!

Room Tip: I don't care how good the rooms are - nobody should have valuables stolen and then be called lia...

“Convienient to Lookout Mountain but not much else”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

Driving to MI from Hilton Head we decided to roll thru Chattanooga to see Ruby Falls and Rock City. We stayed at the Lookout Mountain Comfort Inn for convenience to the sites we wanted to see.
The hotel was clean, the rooms were well serviced, and we were able to get adjoining rooms for our family. Breakfast was very nice and filling: waffles, english muffins/toast, donuts, hard boiled eggs or scrambled eggs and sausage, cereal, juices, and coffee. This hotel was also close to a McDonalds, an excellent barbecue restaurant in Hillbilly Willy's, and a Subway (all restaurants my picky family would eat in.) Location-wise, it was very close (read <10 minutes) from all the activities we wanted to do ("zipline," Ruby Falls and Rock City.) That closeness did allow us to do all 3 activities in one day and depart for our next adventure in Mammoth Caves. Sadly, short of the closeness to the activities, this location did not offer much. We drove over to the Hamilton Place Mall area, a mere 20 minutes from Lookout Mountain, for dinner. This area offered a plethora of hotel choices and would also be a good area to look for lodging options closer to lots of restaurants and even the mall (good shopping too!) We also took a 10 minute drive into downtown Chattanooga to get pizza at Lupi's Pizza Pies. The pizza was epic and the restaurant decor so eclectic we loved it! Seating is limited and the line is constantly out the door, so don't show up famished and unprepared to wait a little while, but it is worth it!
