I made a reservation with my Employee discount and a courtesy hold. I was going to be late so I called and gave a credit card hold for one night of my 2 nights stay..When I reached the hotel I was informed that my reservation was cancelled because my credit card was declined. i stated that I wanted to pay one night and then pay the other night in cash..but they authrized for both nights which I didn't have on the card..I got checked in because they were pretty slow since it was a Monday. Tuesday night my fiance and I drove to get something to eat while my 14 year old son stayed and tried to clean up the mess we made and requested a vacuum from the front desk..they sent a maintenance man up to the room to vacuum.Everything was fine I thought until I went to my job at the Baymont in Knoxville, and to my surprise the desk clerk had called my job for verification of employment because she thought the voucher I presented was fake..After she was told I did in fact work there she continued to speak horribly about me and my family and told the desk clerk that we had Trashed the room...I was horrified! I have been in the hotel business for years and have never ever known anyone to ever do this sort of thing after checking out. We dirtied the room and tried to help clean it up, but definately I didn't TRASH any room any where..I thought that this was so low for a person to do, I could have been fired if my Management didn't know me and knew that I would never do that...I wonder where this lady got off doing this to a perfect stranger..i called her and was very angry and asked her for her MAnager and she stated that I could find out and she hung up on me..What a great group of people you have working there at the Baymont..I will never ever ever stay there again and I will also tell everyone I know to never stay there again...

The value of the hotel was good, the staff very friendly and helpful upon checkin, those were about the only pluses. We have three small children and had been traveling over 10 hours so we wanted a place with a pool so the kids could burn some energy before bed. The water temp. was very warm felt good, however the pool deck was extremely dirty. Cigarette butts, dirt, hair in the corners, the hot hub was ice cold. We thought they had the pool at the hot tub temp and the hot tub cold to cool down. My five year old jumped in the hot tub and jumped back out saying he thinks thats where they poured the fish guts. It was unsanitary and disgusting. The pool itself was not too sanitary either didn't have enough chlorine. We quickly thought we better get out of here upon exiting the pool I got a shard of glass stuck in my foot. While waiting for the elevator we told a staff member of the condition of the pool and he informed us that the hot tub was closed although it was full of water and you wouldn't know it was closed until you went in and smelled the fish guts. I won't write off baymount completely but definately won't stay at this location again. Rather pay a but more and feel sanitary. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but there were not enough tables and like another reviewer said we too were kicked out of the lobby because they told us that if we spilled on the area rug it would stain. Really the whole place is dirty and disgusting who cares if the area rug has a little stain!

We enjoyed our stay here. The pool was nice for the winter - 95 degrees! We would stay here again. Recommend!

Haven't you heard "Don't Believe Everything You Hear!" then don't. Check this hotel out for yourself, for the price you will be pleasantly surprised. Good location, great staff, decent breakfast, heated pool and more. I will certainly return.
