I was in Chattanooga for one week on a business trip and stayed here at the Hilton Garden Inn right downtown. Literally 1 block away from everything you could want...restaurants, cinema, bars, a cute little cupcake shop (which I also reviewed) and if you go in spring you are right across the street from a baseball field.
From the moment you park your car and check-in, the hotel staff are courteous and truly hospitable. Everyone I encountered wanted to make sure that I had everything I needed to make my stay more enjoyable. I aske for directions to good restaurant my first night and was directed to the Big River Grille (which I also reviewed) and the evening manager (Brad??) gave me 10% coupons to take for a discounted meal. Directions to the hospital I was visiting the next day, no problem. A map of some wonderful off the beaten path things to see and do in Chattanooga? No problem - they offered that little bit of extra and it was very nice.
The lobby is nicely decorated and the lounge area was always clean - there is a breakfast offered for about $10 and it had a very nice selection of breakfast foods. The omelets were made to order which I love so that was a nice bonus.
The rooms were generous in size, however, there is absolutely no view to speak of out either side of the hotel. One side views the parking lot and the baseball field and the other is a view of the street. It is quiet - I never heard any street noise at all on the 5th floor. The beds at the hilton hotels are my absolute favorite. I love them and am seriously considering purchasing one for myself! The ergonomic Herman Miller chairs are very comfortable.
The bathroom was one of the smaller hilton bathrooms I've been in - but all the necessities are there and it was very clean. I did like that they offered make-up remover wipes. I've not seen that in other hotels so that was a nice little extra bit of toiletry.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again on another trip (business or pleasure).
