My husband and I recently stayed here to attend the rowing regatta "Head of the Hooch." This was a good off-site location as it was close to downtown via a short freeway trip as well as being a good location for sightseeing on Lookout Mountain. The hotel is nothing fancy but it is clean, comfortable and well maintained. Our room, a king suite, was huge and could easily be enough room for two small kids on the pullout couch. It is like a separate room with its own TV. The staff at both the reception desk and in the breakfast room were friendly and courteous. At breakfast, even though there were lots of people, the woman kept the steam trays filled with hot food, constantly bringing out fresh biscuits and omelets. And finally, the price is right! Half the price a downtown hotel. We would stay again.

We nearly always stay at Hampton Inns when we travel. This one seemed to be lacking in atmosphere, cleanliness, and needs some updating. The price was much higher than others that we have stayed at only hours away, and wasn't nearly as nice. It is a little difficult to find due to being on a one-way street. The location was convenient for vacationers as it was close to downtown and also close to Look-Out Mountain. I'm not sure we would stay there the next time. OJ was watered down.

This is an older Hampton Inn but very clean and easy to find. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. We will definitely stay here again.

I traveled with my two kids 11 and 15. We had a great stay. The hotel is slightly older, but it was clean and had no smells- just very ugly carpeting. It is on the edge of downtown. We drove a few blocks to the parking garage downtown and took the free shuttle where we wanted to go downtown one day. Some here have complained about the location. I thought it was perfect. The second day we headed for the attractions on Look Out Mountain and didn't have to drive through downtown traffic. Great breakfast bar - had ham and french toast sticks, and eggs in addition to the usual stuff. Next day had bacon and hash browns. My main complaint was that there was a parking light right outside our window and the window panel did not go all around, so our room was lighter than I like. We thought the staff were friendly and helpful.
