Very clean. Large rooms. Responsive staff. Great breakfast. Convenient location. Reasonable price. Could not ask for more!

I stayed at this property on a Thursday evening in a king one bedroom suite. The kitchen in the suite was slightly larger than ones you find in most Homewood Suites, and the few extra square feet were appreciated.

I was travelling with a baby, and even though I had requested a crib with my room in my reservation, and by calling ahead before my arrival, one was not set up in the room. Still, one was brought to my room soon after check in, which was very appreciated. Also, the room did not have a bathtub, but rather a walk in shower. According to the desk clerk, a bathtub was only available with a two bedroom suite.

The breakfast area is much too small for the size of the hotel. When we showed up for breakfast (about 8:30 AM) all of the hot food was gone and there was not a seat available in the breakfast area. Fortunately there is a Waffle House a few doors down so we were able to eat there.

The hotel seemed very tidy. It is off of Shallowford Road (a major street) so stores and restaurants are nearby.

The rooms at this hotel are exceptionally clean and well appointed...Please note that if you want or need a room with a tub, you should request this when making a reservation. Most of the rooms are equipped with shower only. Hotel staff was nice, pleasant and accomodating. Evening reception was wonderful...salad, hot wings, potato soup and several other options. However, breakfast the next morning was another story. The food looked as if it had been sitting there for 3 days and was just not acceptable to us, so we checked out and went to breakfast at a nearby restaurant. This hotel is in a great location if you are going to ride the Tennessee Valley Railroad....we were up to ride the North Pole Limited train for Christmas with our 3 year old daughter...Literally 5 minutes from station.

The rooms at this location were very clean, spacious, and modern. I was impressed with them compared to other Homewood Suites at which I've stayed. The only downfall, however, was the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke that I smelled when stepping off the elevator on the fourth floor. It was very, very strong. All the rooms I saw were non-smoking so I'm not sure where it was coming from. Also, when leaving there were three employees standing right in front of the side exit to the hotel. My four children and I, including a 5 month old, had to walk right through their cigarette smoke. Maybe these things wouldn't be a problem for a smoker, but it definitely was for my family. Other than this, our stay was great.
