I am from Chattanooga, but have lived in Hawaii for the last three years. I was in town visiting family and the areas I previously knew as safe and of good quality was completely run down and overpriced. I went to the hotels off Shallowford Village Drive, knowing from locals and previous visits this was a pretty safe area. I wanted a quality safe location but didn't want to pay the Hilton or more expensive chain prices as I was traveling with my two small children. I arrived pretty late in the night and was given a VERY reasonable rate. The location was very well lit and felt very safe. The front desk was very helpful and even allowed us to do a late checkout due to arriving so late. The room was spacious and came with all the needed amenities. I was particularly impressed with the bathroom which was VERY clean. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The beds were super comfortable ( this coming from a person with a three thousand dollar mattress at home ). Overall, I was very pleased with the price and quality of our room and stay. So impressed that I chose this location for my next visit and was excited to know that the stay was consistent with the other. I still cant get over how clean these bathrooms were and the price is so competitive with the surrounding hotels. The only thing I didn't understand were the poor reviews I saw on other sites, after some investigation I found that this location has recently come under new ownership/management thus explaining the differences in the reviews last year and the improvements that exist today. Will plan on staying here for all my future visits if they keep with this standard :)

My wife and I visited the Travelodge the last week of April for 5 nights. We had a reduced room rate because we stayed over 3 nights. We were pleased wiith our room, the service and the location. We had a king size, non smoking room and were very pleased with the furnishings, the cleanliness and the friendliness of the management. We would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area for any length of time.

I checked in to this hotel alone recently. The front desk clerk (and I think, owner) checked me in quickly because I had reserved via Hotels.com. After giving me the key, he told me to wait because he needed my drivers license, which he then photocopied. When returning it to me, he touched my hand and told me that I was pretty. I went to the room way in the back and my key didn't work. I started walking back to the front desk and he came running out of a side door telling me he would help me. He fiddled around with my key which didn't work, then used his master key. He grinned at me and told me that HIS key worked. He stayed around in the doorway too long. He told me that my car was very nice, a nice color (bumblebee yellow). Once inside the room, it was awful. Dark, dank, smelly, holes in the furniture upholstery. The bathroom was filthy. Between it being scary and dirty, I left my key at the front desk and stayed somewhere else.

We were just looking a room to sleep for one night.. with three kids and the budged pretty limited.
asked around more 3 motel can get our budged with a king bed room, non smoking and clean room for the kids playing around.
finally , we found this motel and stay until morning while waiting for rain to stop.. I log in to this site and posting this review..with free wireless internet sevice from my room..
We love to back and stay here again next time
