My husband & I went to Chattanooga for the weekend. We did not know that many hotels had been without electricity for 4 days due to the tornadoes that passed through the area. We arrived at the hotel amidst chaos. Many people were trying to find a place to stay because their electricity still had not come back on and they were told it could still be another week.
The staff was WORKING VERY HARD trying accommodate everyone. People were rude and obnoxious, but Christine (one of the managers) was always KIND, very PATIENT and extremely empathetic.
The managers and front desk staff also had to clean the rooms and do laundry to help the housekeepers keep up with the demand. They worked TIRELESSLY, NON-STOP, with little sleep and were very PLEASANT & helpful.
Despite the chaos, the rooms were clean, the pool was well maintained & they had a well stocked breakfast.
If staff can work like this under EXTREME PRESSURE, imagine what they can do under NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!
Thank you so much Christine, Sanjay (the other manager), Kyndal & Angel for showing everyone what hotels are capable of doing, especially during disasters!!!!!!
