This hotel has the look of a nicely done renovation. Fresh paint, new carpets and fixtures. Everything was great until the breakfast which was less than great. I could easily have done without it. Otherwise, a good place to stay. Close to restaurants.

My family used a Marriott e-certificate to spend a night in Chattanooga and visit a few local places rather than let the certificate expire. We we're able to upgrade to a 2-bedroom unit, and it was very nice. This may be the cleanest hotels I've been to in quite a while, and I mean inside as well as outside. And, you can't beat the location for convenience. It's a short walk to ecerything downtown has to offer, and the trolly stop is directly across the street, with free rides up to the Convention Center and on to the Choo Choo. In season, the Lookouts baseball team plays in a nice minor league stadium immediately behind the hotel.
The hotel has a small indoor pool, hot tub and real small exercise room (2 treadmills and 1 elliptical in one room, and a bench and dumbbells in another room). There is a pet relief area behind the hotel and a dish of pet treats on the front desk, so the hotel has some pet-friendly policies.
Our 2 bedroom suite was certainly nice. Each bedroom had a queen bed and private bath, and there was a sleeper sofa and gas fireplace in the living room. Flat panel tvs in all rooms with lots of analog and digital channels. There is a full-size refrigerator, full-size range and over, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher, plus dishes and utensils.
The only thing that is annoying is the noise of garbage trucks when they hit the bump in the intersection right out front. If you are a light sleeper, you will prefer a room that doesn't face Chestnut Street.
Be advised that you self-park right behind the hotel, but it is $8.00 per night.
Check this place out on your next trip to Chattanooga. It's one of several good and affordable downtown hotels.

Three nights here in November were a delight. Clean, good looking and filled with friendly staff, this hotel provided a great place to stay.

Location is the best. Close to a large number of excellent restaurants, across the street from the electric bus terminal and walking instance to the Aquarium, Imax and and the Tennessee River.

Great location for exploring all that this unique city has to offer.

We visit Chattanooga every year and found this hotel to be very clean, comfortable and friendly. From the front desk to the cleaning staff, all were helpful and showed us Southern hospitality! The 2-bedroom suite was perfect and very clean. Great beds and beautiful full kitchen and we loved the fireplace! The smallish fitness area consists of two treadmills & an elliptical but each has a TV, which always makes a workout more enjoyable. The location of this hotel is perfect for walking access to the aquarium, IMAX, restaurants, movie theaters, and more. Thank you Downtown Chattanooga Residence Inn!
