Ok. This was, was, the best Red Roof for the Nashville area. Now, it is the least.
Red Roof started to renovate this hotel, and stopped, after updating 7-8 or so of the 3rd floor rooms. So. If you want the best room in the hotel, make sure to ask for the 3rd floor.
Avoid the 1st floor at all costs. I stayed on the first floor, and it was terrible. The mattresses were junk, needing replacement years ago. The carpet needed to be replaced then too. The furniture was chipped and worn, the dresser had two drawers, one broken. It was clean.
It was surprisingly quiet, considering the room was right across from the vending and ice machines.
Smelled musty.
The night shift front desk associate, Jeffery was far from helpful. He acted as if we were interrupting his reading and music time. He never removed the headphones during the check in. I asked for an additional pillow, he gave me a room key to a room they do not rent, to get it for myself.
After little sleep, due to the uncomfortable mattress, I complained to Chris, the morning front desk person. He apologized and gave a pass for a stay at any Red Roof. He gave me the owners' names, and advised when to call back to talk to them. Chris handled the situation well, and should be commended.
My advise: Avoid for now, a year from now, the place will be renovated. If you have to stay, ask for the 3rd floor.
Room Tip: Go elsewhere, or ask for 3rd floor.
