“barely average”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

Stayed here for a couple of weeks , while relocating to the area. Room is small, any other suite I have stayed in has been larger than an average hotel room, this room was smaller. The room smelled old and stuffy. The staff was nice , however they do not explain anything to you upon arrival. They do not tell you that your room will only be cleaned once a week if you stay for atleast 7 days. They do not tell you where you are supposed to dump your garbage. I had to ask where the laundry facility was located at, it is small only 4 washers and 6 dryers. you pay up front for a week at a time, which they also don't explain to you up front. The walls seem to be extra thin, had a neighbor who smoked so my room also always smelled like cigarette smoke. The bed was hard, the dishes are cheap, you get one fry pan and one sauce pan, the very cheap kind , can't tell what the temperature was on the stove so very difficult to cook on. coffee pot was old and stained, so i never did use it. Every thing in the room was old and needed to be replaced. There was a small table to eat at etc, but only one chair and the room was for 2 people. the location is good , close to the interstate and there is a kroger grocery store right around the corner , along with several restaurants etc. Can't really recommend this hotel to anyone, was very disappointed with my stay. oh, and there are no amenities, other than laundry, they did say next door there was a pool, at their sister hotel, i assume they meant at the brentwood suites, not sure though, because they never did say, you really have to figure everything out for yourself.

“Adequate for our needs, saved $$$ for other things.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2011

This hotel is quiet, adequate, clean, and safe. The full-size refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and sink made spending downtime easier, and allowed the time spent working in the room to be spent comfortably. The bathtub is very shallow and the shower curtain iffy. I had a small flood one day, which caused me to use up all the towels to clean up. The bed is not the most comfortable, but at least it is clean and adequate.

No fitness center or business accommodations, but there are nearby places, if you need them.

For the price, this is a great idea. Really, why spend more if you're just sleeping here? It's safe and clean, close to everything, and quiet.

me and friend stayed here when we were watching our hometown team the St.Louis Blues play Nashville. the room was ok the pipe behind the toilet was leaking so we told the service desk to take a look at it as we were leaving to go see the game and when we got back (about 3 hours later) it was fix so that was good. other than that it was a little noisy at night but not to bad i was still able to get a good night sleep

“This place was awful!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2011

We booked a room on-line, on the Extended Stay website. When we arrived we were told that they had overbooked their rooms. So the details of our scenario... 2 women away for a girl's weekend... me being 6 1/2 months pregnant! -Upon arrival and finding out they were overbooked we were given 3 options. 1) A room with two twin beds... 6 1/2 months pregnant does not fit into a twin bed real comfortably, 2) a king bed and I kid you not the guy at the desk told us we could build a pillow wall between us, or 3) 2 separate rooms that would not even be close to each other. (***No discount was ever offered!***) What in the world? We finally asked for a referral to another hotel... yes, we had to ask.
I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone at anytime!

“Super Bargain- In the Nashville Area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2010

I needed a little scenery change. The spouse did not want to go far, so we decided on Nashville. I'd worked there before and she hadn't been there, so it was a great opportunity.

We researched some hotels in the Vanderbilt University/Downtown area, but found them way too expensive. Then I remembered, Brentwood, a very near suburb (8 minutes from downtown on I-65 South), with upscale resident homes and several mid-size hotels.

Using googlemaps and the phrase "hotels in brentwood, tn" I found several hotels I'd seen before. I chose, Extended Stay America Nashville-Brentwood after research revealed a price of less than $45 a night. I knew the area was nice from my experience staying at a sister property, Studio Plus, across the street, when I traveled there on business.

Location:
It is located just off of the Old Hickory Blvd exit on I-65 south. A very short ride from downtown. A few quick turns will put you on Church St, a relatively quiet street with a few business and office complexes.

Hotel Exterior:
There is nothing fancy about the outside. The property consist of two separate buildings that are well kept up on the outside. The office closes at 11pm.

Room Interior:
You enter your room from the outside. The rooms are definitely small. But they still have a refrigerator, two burner stove, microwave and coffee maker. They are very basic, because they are primarily meant to traveling workers, contractors and professionals looking for an economical place to stay for several days. The room was clean, simple and adequate.

Surroundings:
There was a niche food store, called Fresh Market about 5 blocks away and a Publix Supermarket about 6 blocks away. There is a mall with a Target and Best Buy on the other side of the freeway (I-65). Several restaurants are nearby including O'Charley and Corky's BBQ.

Other factors:
There was a bit of noise for awhile from other rooms and someone's car alarm kept going for a period of time. So I would consider sound insulation rather poor. If you need a quieter environment, the Studio Plus across the street was always quiet.

It is my basic opinion that for a quick and cheap stay near Nashville, that this was an excellent bargain. Hotels downtown were running more than $140 on average. Yes, I would stay there again.
