Recently we (sister-in-law & I) had an opportunity to take a mini-vacation. Sister-in-law had just spent over 30+ days/nights at Days Inn in Billings, MT with such caring employees we decided on staying Days Inn on our mini-vacation. All in all our stays at the various Days Inn's were pleasant with one extremely major issue. On 04/28 Tuesday we stayed @ Days Inn, Sturgis, SD. Upon departing I left all of my medications in the room. Not realizing until that evening @ Days Inn, Siuox Falls, SD that I didn't have my medicine. On Thursday 04/30 I called Days Inn, Sturgis, SD spoke with desk clerk. I told her what had happened - good thing was she was aware of the situation. I gave her my mailing address & most importantly my credit card #. She said it cost around $10. I arrived home on Saturday evening 05/02 only to find no medicine. On Monday 05/04 I called the hotel back & spoke with the same desk clerk. She informed me that she hadn't had the "time" to send my medicine to me. I don't know if you or employees are aware of the cost of prescriptions today or how insurance companies only allow 1 month's worth at a time. To be without my daily medicaions has caused me some serve pain & sleepless nights. This is a list of the medications I have been waiting on:
Armour Thyroid, Lipitor, Primarin, Valtrex, Ambien CR, Darrocet, Melatonin 3%. I had just had all of the prescriptions filled before leaving home. Please, do what should have been done immediately & send me my medications.

Walked in to the hotel and got a room. Checkin was very quick. The room itself was nice, comfy beds, hot water with massage head and flat screen tv. The cable wasnt the best and it was snowy (not sure if cable or tv problems). You could see it ok, but it just took away from having the flat screen. Also, in the bath, there was a couple spots of mold on the wallpaper above the shower. This is a pet peeve of mine and I've found a couple Days in particular that this has happened. I dont know why they continue to paper the baths above the shower anyway. Not a big deal, but I notice. I was able to wipe it off and notified the hotel about it. It wouldnt take much to get rid of it. Other than that, the room appeared quite clean and was quiet and comfortable. (No computer/micro/fridge) Did not make it up for breakfast so cant comment on that and it appeared the spa was closed for the night and we werent interested in using it anyway so cant review that either. If I were in the area I would stay here for a night again.

Made reservations for a 2 day stop months ago, checked to make sure that they accepted pets. Went to check in and there were signs that state that they would charge $50 if pet was left in room alone...not if the dog created a problem, simply that they would charge you if you left the dog in the room alone. Days Inn website does not mention this policy. Since the plan was to leave the dog in a comfortable room while we went to deadwood (it was over 80° outside), their policy did not allow for this. Had to cancel reservations and since all pet friendly hotels were booked, had to leave the area to find accomodations further down the road...I will never stay in a days inn again...

This is an excellent value stay. No frills, but clean and cheap. We stay in Sturgis but spend our time in Deadwood. Good, good value. We haven't been disappointed from the value side of the stay.
