We reserved rooms for New Years Eve and the float had broke on the toilet after everyone had come back from deadwood and went to bed. We had woke up and noticed the water on the floor, went downstairs immediately to tell the front desk, Sonya was NOWHERE to be found. We rang the bell and she came out from another room. Please keep in mind that we can hear the water running onto the floor from upstairs from the front desk. She looks at us with a dumb look and obviously cant hear anything. We have to explain very slowly WORD by WORD for her to understand. She goes over to the table in the breakfast area where she was sitting on her computer on facebook to grab her keys. Keep in mind that wall behind that table has window panes and is pry 5 feet or less from where the water is running. A person in our party finds a broken float in the toilet and takes it out to prevent the water from continuing to run while we find the MIA front desk people. I call today to see if we are responsible for damages and we are! I was told that "sonya" did her walk through and noticed nothing. HERES AN EYE OPENER FOR YOU DAYS INN. ROOM 205 slept with the door WIDE OPEN ALL NIGHT. SO IF YOUR LAZY EMPLOYEE HAD DONE A WALK THROUGH LIKE YOU SAY, SHE WOULD HAVE NOTICED THE WATER OR SHUT THE DOOR. I would NEVER stay at this hotel. Its so old, nothing updated, 1960 check in style, obviously not up to code working parts and you will be held liable for their lack of ability to have a functioning hotel.
