When my wife and I visited this hotel this past summer, they were undergoing renovations. The receptionist was very nice and the check in was relatively smooth. The problem started when we got to our suite and discovered that it has no air-conditioning in the bedroom. After the going to the front desk to try to resolve this problem, the new owner of the hotel came by and just told the receptionist to refund our money and send us on our way. It was an convention weekend and it would have been very difficult to find another room that late in the afternoon. Instead of trying to solve our problem, he just wanted to get rid of us. Fortunately, the receptionist was a lot more helpful and helped us to stay and offered a fan to circulate the cooler air from the living room into the bedroom. It was still not what we expected but we understand that was the best they could do at that moment.
Overall, the hotel was fine with decent breakfast and very nice staff.
I did finally got an apology from the hotel last month, 4 months or so after the event. They offered us a small discount the next time we stay with them. As we are from Asia and I seriously doubt we will pass through that area again, thanks, but no thanks.
