We stayed here for the Annual South Dakota Corn Growers Meeting and Conference. We checked in around 5pm on Friday and we were placed in the Executive Side of the Hotel. I asked when checking in if we could be placed in the main tower. The check in gal told us that all the King rooms in the main tower were checked in and occupied and and that if we wanted a King, we'd have to stay in the Executive side. I honestly don't think all the corn growers had checked in as when we left to eat dinner at 7pm we saw many Corn Grower Members checking in at the desk. Our room had a small chunk of carpet torn out and also a stain on it. A large area of tile grout around the toilet had dark pink stain around it also..too bad, a room with this kind of wear and tear left a bad impression with us. We were only provided 2 sets of towels, so a phone call to the front desk was made and more towels were brought to us. The bed was okay, but felt like we were sleeping on plastic all night long so I checked the next morning thinking it was a plastic mattress pad under the sheet. It was not plastic, but the nylon type they use in nursing homes. They have in room internet, but at a rate of $2.99 per hour. Breakfast is not free, but you can get a rate in which breakfast is included in your room rate. Oh by the way, bottled water in the room is $3.99. It is printed in very small print on the bottle. The hotel does have a bar, restaurant, small pool, and business center on sight. Will we stay here again?..I doubt it, as we stay in hotels 85-90 nights a year and some of these nights are in Sioux Falls. There are much nicer and better places to stay in this town.
