The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The bathroom smelled sour (possibly urine). After being closed up all day, the room smelled sour too. The bedsread was stained. No wireless in room. No hair dryer in room (what!!!!?), Halls smelled musty and smoky, breakfast area didn't smell fresh. One night we couldn't get cold water in bathroom - only very hot water. The hallway entrance door from the outside did not require a key card so anyone could walk in - not secure. Just a terrible place!!!

Would never stay there again. Dirty, unclean sheets, leaky pipes in bathroom, no internet service in room as advertised, broken blinds - so that anyone outside could see in. Rude employees, front desk clerk was not there for check-out and had to ask a cleaning person to get someone, after waiting for about 10 minutes.

We were very pleased with our recent stay at the Rapid City Econo Lodge. We were looking for a motel close to the Mall and it was the best value.

The Lobby was attractive with WiFi available. The desk clerks were very friendly and efficient. Although our room was spacious, there was no refrigerator, microwave, or hair dryer. Everything was very clean. The only problem was no fan in the bathroom. The result is the ceiling is peeling at the seam. There is a small indoor pool and whirlpool plus a waterslide.

The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. The only problem was we could hear people walking around the room above us.

Breakfast was boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, toast, cereal, and apples. There was no yogurt and the donuts were mediocre. I would have liked my biscuits and gravy hotter which was not possible since there was no microwave in the breakfast room. I have used the microwaves in many breakfast rooms to heat baby bottles or make popcorn. So no microwaves in the room or breakfast room could be a problem for many people.

All things considered, we would definitely stay at the Econo Lodge again if the price is right.

The room with tax was $94.21 for 2 queen beds. This place could definitely use some refurbishing. Beds were not very comfortable. Our room's air conditioner was not working properly. The room appeared to be not too clean, with a stained stool. The entry way to the motel was dirty also, which gives a bad first impression to start with. Breakfast was average, nothing to brag about.
