It was a good clean motel, we originally went for the king suite w garden tub, but the tub was quite small so we switched to a standard double queen. The comforters were way too heavy, it felt like you were getting x-rays when it was on you. But the bed and pillows were comfortable. The continental breakfast was average, but it did have a lot of variety. It had a couple of water slides, so it was kid friendly and noisy. The hot tubs only had one speed working, pump problems of some kind. But at least they tried to fix it. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the parking and proximity to shopping and restaurants was great. TGI Fridays was right next door.

To break up our holiday driving, the hubby dogs and I tried to stop here at around 1:30 am on a weeknight. Hubby went inside to check in, but there was no one at reception. For over five minutes.. no one! He sort of hung around saying "hello?" but.. apparently the receptionist had better things to do than take our money in exchange for a bed for the night. Ended up going across the interstate to the Ramada. Sorry, Country Inn!

We immediately changed rooms after the one we were given looked like someone had just used the beds as a trampoline and the floor was filthy with plastic bags and food.

Our next room was cleaner, but they vacuumed it for me while I was there. It was then I learned that they need new vacuums, as the vacuum did not pick up any dirt on the carpet.

For 2 mornings in a row they were out of items for breakfast, such as eggs, butter and 1/2 & 1/2. One morning the 1/2 & 1/2 was sour. They could not help me, but just blame it on someone else.

The halls and elevators were dirty.

There is not ample parking spaces for the handicapped.

As others have posted, the price listed on the outdoor sign was less than what we paid by reserving on-line. I forgot the staffs excuse.

We stayed here on our road trip from Wisconsin to Seattle. We arrived after driving 11 hours that day, and we were exhausted. The check-in process was fast and courteous, and the lobby was clean and peaceful. The very best part of our stay was the bed --- I can still remember how comfortable that bed and linens were!!!! On our trip we stayed in 5 hotels over 9 days, including a high-end one in Seattle - and this one was the best one BY FAR. We have joked that we would consider driving back to Rapid City just to stay in this hotel!!!!! It is also very close to the mall and a lot of restaurants, and the breakfast in the morning was also good.
