The motel was clean and employees were friendly. We visited to see the wild horse herds in Lantry,SD at ISPMB. The wild horses were what made our stay worth it.

This is an old Super 8 Motel now called the "Cheyenne River Motel". It is operated by the tribe. The young people running it were very friendly and helpful. It is clean and quiet. The furnishings are of the Super 8 style and dated. The rooms include full size beds. There are no hair dryers. The cable channels are limited, but they did have HBO. Their internet connection was not working when I was there, although the guy at the front dest said I should be able to pick something up, but wasn't. Didn't have any problems staying here and would stay again, if need be. If you have back problems you might not like the hard well used beds. Should you be traveling through and have no reason to stop in Eagle Butte, you might consider going on to Pierre, SD to the south and east of Eagle Butte, about 90 miles for a better bed. Restaurants are limited. The one on main street is actually pretty good. There is also a Dairy Queen and a Taco Johns at the convenience store down the block from the motel. If you don't mind driving a bit, there is also a good restaurant west about 18 miles on the main street of Dupree, SD.
