“Suprising gem in the middle of nowhere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012 via mobile

We stayed at Lee's Best Western Chamberlain on our cross-continent journey en route to the Badlands & Mt Rushmore. I have been using an ipad to search for accomodation in the area we're heading as we travel, found this motel and was attracted by the price. $55 plus tax. At these rates, it can be hit or miss, but upon arriving we were so pleasantly suprised.

The motel is a little off the highway, actually in the township itself. We booked a king room and arrived to a HUGE room, with a very comfortable recliner, and possibly the most comfortable bed we've slept in so far. It was like sleeping on a cloud. And so big we almost had to call out to eachother from either side.

Our room had no fridge, and there was no wifi, but a small inconvenience when you consider the cost of the room. We didn't take advantage of the included breakfast, but it looked quite good - including make your own waffles.

I would recommend this motel to travellers who are looking for something cheap, cheerful and comfortable.

“Good night's sleep, could be a bit cleaner.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

I've stayed here 3 or 4 times before. Pros: It looked like the bed linens had been updated and my room had a comfortable chair and was quite spacious. The heater worked well and I slept well. Cons: Bathroom floor could have been cleaner, there was some cracking on the bathroom counter, the coffeemaker basket hadn't been emptied. I would probably stay here again. There was a breakfast but I didn't eat it so am not sure what was offered. They don't have wifi but will loan you an ethernet cable and it worked well, very fast internet.

“West coast to midwest and back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

We took a road trip in Sept/Oct of 2011 and stayed at seven different hotels. The prices ranged from $67 to $145 a night. The Best Western Plus were the best value, as they were in good repair and clean. They also had a continental breakfast that compared to the higher priced stays. Here is how I would rate this particular hotel. This place clean and had a spacious room. It was bit off the freeway but easy to get to and in a quiet area of town. The breakfast was cereal, bread, pastries and hard-boiled eggs. We had no fridge, but for the $67 a night it was a good deal. We would probably stay there again.

“Good Night's Sleep”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

Comfortable beds but a pretty ordinary place. The continental breakfast was disappointing.

“Musty”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

This motel is as stale and musty as the town it is located in. The smell permeates the hallway and is also in the very small but clean rooms. Hotel employees are not particularly friendly and the breakfast area comes complete with flies. The lower price comes with lower expectations but even that would not entice me to stay here again.
