Overall an OK stay. The pool was great fun for the kids. There were buckets of water that would dump periodically and things that sprayed water. The big drawback was the noise in the room. You could hear people talking in the room next door, water turning on in other people's rooms, doors opening and closing, and hallway stuff. The breakfast was satisfactory with the usual stuff including the waffle makers. Location was good for a quick overnight stay on the road. Rooms were clean.

My husband and I have stayed here three times, and find it reliably clean, quiet and comfortable with good beds and showers. Their bubbling hot tub by the pool make this a relaxing stop after long drives. Since we usually arrive later in the day, the staff is often very busy, with people lined up in the lobby. On our last visit we had some issues with our first room (the air-conditioner and fridge were feeble, and we didn't like having an adjoining door to the next room). After trying to exchange rooms via another staff person, I had the luck to encounter a friendly, helpful staff person named Alyssa, who listened and assured us she wanted things to be right. She efficiently and cheerfully exchanged our room and we had another pleasant stay.

stayed overnight on the way to Mt Rushmore area. VERY quiet little town :) Nice clean room and comfy bed. Great for an over night stop.

We stayed one night while we were making our way to Custer, SD. Our family enjoyed the "lodge" look and feel, big pool, excellent continental breakfast, and the reasonable price per night. I think this was the quietest hotel I've every stayed at! The room and beds were very comfy and we slept well.
