I stayed there a couple weeks ago in late August, 2010. This was the week of Deadwood Nights in Deadwood, so hotels in the area were hard to come by. I got the only available room, which was a smoking room. No problem there- I don't like smoking rooms but that was the only available.

The problems started at check-in. They gave me the key to the wrong room, which was obviously an occupied room. Fortunately it was vacant, but that could have been disastrous.

The front desk lady seemed unaware as to the security key for her wireless internet , but I was able to borrow internet from a neighboring hotel (albeit with a very weak signal).

Belle Fourche is not the most pleasant place to spend the night, especially on that part of town. The parking lot wasn't very well lit and the people at the Taco John's across the street were clearly inebriated. It's worth driving 15 more minutes to Spearfish if at all possible.

The room was fairly clean and sleep was well, so that is good. Fairly pricey at the $80/night I paid, however. The hotel was worth $55 maximum.

the room was clean, plenty of towels, parking was close at hand. breakfast was like all hotel 8s, not cooked but you can fix pancakes, ceral, bagel, etc., no eggs , no gravy, but we wanted a place that was clean, and quite, that is what we got, if you wanted more pay more

This one isn't fancy or anything I'd choose to stay at during a vacation, but it was clean, neat, the room was nice, clean and had everything we needed. The lady at the front desk was kind, helpful and funny. I'd stay here again if we travel through on business again.

The halls were filthy. the lobby and "breakfast"area full of flies, and half of the rooms are below ground level (the bottom of the window met the parking lot pavement). Everything in the breakfast area was sticky (breakfast was an english muffin or toast and coffee). No security - the lobby was often unattended and the doors into the hall way left open to the outside. Skip this one.
