Stay away! We were attempting to drive straight through to Florida but were forced to stop due to a storm. Bad choice on my part, but all of the drivers needed to get some sleep. The room was tiny and had holes in the walls and the bothroom door, and cracks in the ceiling. Not enough towels and washcloths, but the attendant did get us more quickly. The topper was the toilet that was TOTALLY BLACK INSIDE!

Filthy, mildewed, run-down. Train tracks just a few feet away with trains blowing whistles throughout the night. Toilet flush was really weak. Black stains on the pillow case. I did not remove my shoes unless my feet were under the covers.

The room smelled of mold and mildew. The carpet was wet , and spongy. The mattress speaks for itself.

This was one creepy night. The directions to the hotel are difficult to follow and it sits all alone in the middle of nowhere. The speed limit is 35 then changes to 45 in front of the hotel. A local Trooper sits at the transition and catches all out of state tourists on their way to this particular hotel. We weren't even speeding! But since it was late, just me and my daughter on a dark desolate highway we paid him (yes him) the fine money. What a racket! The locals told us about this revenue venture the next day.

The front desk person was friendly but the room was dingy, and the first night of our vacation was pretty dismal. We will stay in the town above this one which has a lot of hotels visable from the highway next time.
