We were driving to Pennsylvania from a fast Florida business trip. Why I stopped there, I have no clue. I was driving up I-95 and I was still OK to drive, but it was midnight and I figured, we could get a good night sleep, then start out fresh early. We checked in and expected a flea bit hotel.... on the contrary, the room was clean, which I appreciated. HOWEVER, I felt something weird as soon as I walked to the upstairs part of the hotel. I just FELT something looking at me. When we got in the room, we just flopped into bed. My partner was asleep as soon as he touched the pillow. I layed down and was "irritated", I just felt uncomfortable. I said my prayers ... and heard scratching on the wall and felt something hop on the bed. I freaked out and started to kick my feet, expecting a rat in the room! There was NOTHING. My partner slept soundly. I layed back down and just tried to sleep. I kept hearing noises and felt something in the room. I kept opening my eyes and looking around thinking I was going to see something... nothing. I heard like a low growl coming from the inside of the bathroom and my covers were pulled off of me. I flipped out and ran to turn the lights on in the room and jumped back in bed. I kind of just told IT to leave me alone that I needed some sleep. (I know this sounds hilarious.) I tried to fall asleep, all night long I heard weird noises and even (what it sounded like to me) two cannon blasts. My partner slept soundly all night. In the morning, whatever was in the room was gone. I jumped in the shower and didn't even dry my hair, I just felt very "unwelcomed". I was very nervous and just wanted to get out of there. I wanted to ask the staff if the place was haunted, but it was two forgeign gentlemen and I didnt' want them thinking I was nuts. (LOL) We left the hotel and I noticed that everything was broken down and derelect around it. I'm wondering about the history in the area. When I closed my eyes, I did see a black man's face in my mind's eye, but I thought I was just thinking weird things.... 15 minutes up the road was a whole town of hotels and restaraunts. What the heck made me stay in this place, I have no clue. I am going to look into the history of this area. Now, my interest is peaked. Not a good place to stay for a prolonged visit.... however, it was clean enough for a few hours sleep! (I didn't look at the carpets and stuff.. the bathrooms were clean, the bed was clean..)I was there literally 6 hours and had the weirdest night of my life!
