We spent Labor Day weekend at La Bastide at The Cliffs. It was just lovely. Craig the manager was delightful even offering the guests a wine and cheese surprise on our first night. The food is splendid. Can't wait to visit again!!!

My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at La Bastide and we had a wonderful experience. If you are looking for privacy, reconnection or a comfortable getaway - make your reservations at La Bastide. Per my husband, we will make this a regular. Thanks to all of you that took the time to write reviews because we made our reservations based on you all reviews. The turn down service sat the mood for it all. The breakfast was outstanding. We had room 11 and it's one of the larger rooms that had the double jacuzzi - say no more. We had a formidable time!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel at the foothills of WNC. The photos on their website and brochure do not do it justice. From the moment you walk in the front door, you are treated as if you are in a mini Four Seasons. The service is exceptional. We did stay in the Chablis room and it has amazing mountain views and a fireplace. We ate dinner at the hotel and it is very good. We had a great time. Also their breakfast is very nice. There is a guest snack bar for unlimited bottle water, tea, coffee, treats, sodas, juice, you name it. Turndown service is a nice touch. Also this is the only hotel and I have stayed that actually acted upon the request for 'no feathers' in the room. Also at the time of the reservation they asked if I had any diet needs and this actually was taken into consideration for the chef's taster without any fanfare. Meaning the service is individualized for each guest. I was really impressed. Easy access from WNC and Greenville/Spartanburg. Highly Recommend!

Just returned from a few evenings at La Bastide and have rave reviews to report. Warm and friendly staff, fabulous food and extremely plush bedding. Wonderfully appointed rooms, all different, with one of the best mattresses we've ever slept on. Highly recommend for that special weekend away!!.
